Fortnite has announced its latest upcoming competitive event today. The game will be hosting the Teen Titans Cup, which features everyone's favorite green-skinned, wise-cracking, shapeshifting vegetarian, Beast Boy.

Garfield Mark Logan, better known as Beast Boy, is one of the usual members in most iterations of the young DC superhero team the Teen Titans, consisting of himself, Robin, Cyborg, and Starfire. There's also an extensive romantic history between Beast Boy and Teen Titan member Raven, who was added to Fortnite as a skin and an NPC during the current season.

Falling perfectly in line with Season 6's "Primal" theme, Beast Boy will begin hanging out in the Fortnite Item Shop next week, starting May 13. In addition to two skin styles, which come with a gorilla-transforming Go Ape Emote, the BB's Bonk Bat Pickaxe and the video game-pizza combo of the Couch Titan Back Bling will be available as well. Players will be able to choose from either the comic-accurate purple-and-black superhero suit, or can drop into a more Titans TV series-inspired Garfield Logan style. All items can either be purchased separately or as part of the Beast Boy Bundle.

Players looking to reunite the young couple will be able to do so early by competing in the upcoming Teen Titans Cup. The Duos tournament will reward its top performers with the Beast Boy Outfit and the Couch Titan Back bling before they hit the Item Shop. Pairs can play up to 10 matches, and will need to be at least level 30 with two-factor authentication enabled. All participants will earn the new Beast Boy and Raven Spray simply for competing, while scoring at least eight points in the cup will earn players the new BBRae Loading Screen. The Teen Titans Cup comes on the last day of Fortnite's "Fighting Fire with Fire" Wild Week, a new event putting an emphasis on a different gameplay dynamic each week for the rest of Season 6.

The presence of DC characters seems to be growing rapidly. In addition to the pair of Teen Titans now in the equation, Batman's Zero Point story is unfolding as well. The Dark Knight's "Zero" outfit is now available in addition to Rebirth Harley Quinn, courtesy of the Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point crossover comic. Epic Games also recently revealed the rest of the upcoming cosmetics tied to the comic series, including outfits and cosmetics for Catwoman, Deathstroke, and more.

While the addition of a character like Beast Boy is sure to be well-received by the vast majority of the Fortnite player base, going through the trouble of a Duos tournament to acquire him a day early may not seem like a worthwhile endeavor. However, players can still submit their best time to the Creative Mayhem LTM, with the submission cutoff not until May 11 at 9 am ET.

Fortnite is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
