While there's definitely plenty of fun to be had in Fortnite Battle Royale's Solo, Duo, and Squads games, it's safe to say that many of the most memorable matches experienced in the sandbox survival title have taken place in its Limited Time Modes. Epic Games undoubtedly is aware of this, which is surely why it has now decided to grace fans with the revival of one of the most beloved LTMs – that is, the chaotic 50v50 mode.

As seen in the tweet below from the official Fortnite Twitter account, Epic Games has made 50v50 V2 available to play now, and the Limited Time Mode includes some slight tweaks from its previously released iteration. The setup of two teams of 50 going at it with one another for a Victory Royale remains the same, but this time around, farming resources will be increased, loot spawns will be upped as well, and a dotted line will be added to the map to indicate the "battle lines" between the rival factions.

Interestingly enough, Epic Games' reintroduction of 50v50 in Fortnite hasn't led to the removal of the title's recent crossover event with Marvel, as the game's Infinity Gauntlet mode still remains as a choice in game lobbies. In the past, the developer typically made a single Limited Time Mode available by cycling out the previous LTM. Perhaps Epic's choice to leave the Thanos mashup stems from its popularity with the title's community.

As far as future Fortnite content is concerned, many have kept their eyes trained on an impregnable hatch that has made an appearance in Wailing Woods, which has led to speculation that Epic Games will use the item for an upcoming mode or changes to the map. Some have considered the possibility of the development team having been inspired by Lost, the ABC television show featuring characters stranded on an island, but only time will tell what the studio has in store for fans.

Fortnite is available now in early access for iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
