FOBIA St. Dinfna Hotel is a new psychological first-person game bringing a unique story to the world of suspense and horror. Announced on March 22, this game is a survival horror set to release to fans of creepy thrillers sometime this year.

Indie developer Pulsatrix Studios has joined forces with publisher Maximum Games, known for its popular title Among Us, to bring players this horror title spanning decades as players set to investigate the terrors of Santa Dinfna hotel. Players will play as journalist Roberto who leaves for Treze Trilhas, where he stays at the St. Dinfna Hotel to investigate mysterious disappearances.

FOBIA gives an immersive journey, following an investigation that begins in a debauched hotel controlled by a technologically advanced faction. This faction believes in the union of science and religion and secretly conducts experiments to manifest the ultimate human, genetically modifying them and creating parallel realities. Players will need to explore different worlds across time jumps using a camera to peer into alternate realities to solve the horrors at hand while trying not to get scared senseless.

Based on the announcement trailer, it seems players will encounter demonic creatures and are at least able to carry a weapon for defense. The action looks intense and sure to increase one's heart rate as they may be trapped in situations where they have little time to react. "Escape by any means," the trailer states, and that seems to be the case at hand as players will endure puzzles, obscurities, and conspiracies on this haunted journey. Seeing the protagonist crush monsters with his foot and look upon creatures staring at him from a distance may place horror fans at the edge of their chairs as they try to escape the hotel.

FOBIA looks to bring an intriguing experience to the table. The game seems comparable to the popular survival horror franchise Resident Evil or Outlast, an investigative first-person horror based in an asylum. So fans of those games or this genre, in general, should look forward to this title as the story seems exciting, and the graphics and gameplay are both seemingly satisfying. With high expectations for this year's horror genre in gaming, horror fans can hope for a substantial selection of terrifying new games to hit consoles, including FOBIA.

The horror genre has grown immensely as one of the most popular genres in film, television, and games, so seeing many new horror projects debut in a calendar year makes sense. With titles like FOBIA, fans can anticipate that 2022 will take things to another level, giving fans some pulse-pounding entertainment to experience.
