Religion plays a central role in Fire Force. Consequently, every Special Fire Force Company has someone connected to the Holy Sol Temple. For Company 8, Sister Iris is that person. Even though she has limited pyrokinetic abilities, her role in the group is important and necessary for the team's effectiveness.

Initially, Iris was without pyrokinetic abilities, but in season 2 of Fire Force, she showcased some sort of ability triggered by the Stone Pillar's appearance. However, regardless of her lack of highly offensive abilities, Iris's prayers for infernals serve as the last form of mercy to the unfortunate individuals.

Classification

Non-Powered Human

Abilities

Genius-Level Tactician

Victor Licht’s presence in Company 8 triggered a lot of questions. He looked and acted fishy, like a person with a hidden, malicious motive. As expected, this turned out to be true as Licht was later revealed to be a scientist belonging to Haijima, tasked with spying on Company 8. Although he has severed ties with the organization, it's still hard to tell whether his interest in Company 8 is genuine or malicious.

Victor Licht is a brilliant scientist and a well-grounded tactician with impressive knowledge of science applications and a number of strategies up his sleeve. His scientific knowledge was positively highlighted during the Sho-Shinra fight in season one, where he explained the process behind Shinra's mind-blowing speed and Sho’s Adolla-based ability.

Abilities

High-Level Technical Skills, Genius Inventor

Vulcan comes from a family of intelligent engineers and technicians. His ancestors built the Amaterasu, Tokyo Empire's greatest asset, and Vulcan has proved that he is cut from the same cloth. However, he once detested Fire Soldiers due to the likes of Giovanni hungrily seeking his intellect and workmanship to further their desires.

Based on this fact, it wasn’t easy for Company 8 to recruit Vulcan, but once they did, his inventions proved that their efforts were worth it. Moreover, his impressive gadget, Iron Owls, increased Maki’s attack power, ascertaining that his inputs in Company 8 were vital additions.

Classification

Third Generation Pyrokinetic

Abilities

Fire Manipulation, High Speed, Agility

Tamaki is a Third Generation pyrokinetic with the ability to control flames, forming a cat-like flame figure around her. Even though her "Lucky Lecher" ability gets in the way most times, Tamaki has displayed the resolve worthy of a fire soldier. Her protection of Juggernaut in his comatose state proves this fact.

In the 23rd episode of Fire Force, Maki received training indirectly from Benimaru Shinmon. The tag-oriented training helped Tamaki realize that she suppresses her abilities, allowing her to fully unlock her repressed potential. Anime fans haven’t seen what the new Tamaki can do in high-paced combat, but it’s sure to be an interesting development in Fire Force’s upcoming seasons.

Classification

Ability

Remarkable Physical Strength

Akitaru Obi is the captain of Company 8, and despite his non-powered nature, he is still a formidable opponent for most pyrokinetics. Through his sound and trusting leadership skills, he leads Company 8 in their missions to keep Tokyo safe from the likes of infernals and nefarious organizations like the White Clad.

Captain Obi developed his body in ways that make him invincible to some pyrokinetic-based attacks. He managed to stand his ground in a fight with Benimaru Shinmon, otherwise revered as “The Mightiest Soldier.” Even the hardly-impressed Benimaru praised Obi as a monstrous brute, capable of doing what non-powered humans can’t do.

3 Arthur Boyle's Idiocy Increases His Combat Ability Tremendously

Classification

Third Generation Pyrokinetic

Abilities

Master Swordsman, Hysterical Strength - Press of Death, Breath of Life

Undoubtedly, one of the best running gags in Fire Force is Arthur’s imperfect knight role play. As funny as it looks, Arthur’s imagination forms his best but unreliable power-up. Regardless, he becomes an unstoppable force during his clownish role play. His Third Generation abilities allow him to create a plasma-like blade that serves as the perfect foil for the White-Clad Haumea's ability.

Arthur's swordsmanship is profound, and it allowed him to single-handedly subdue the berserk Shinra when he was controlled by an external force. Like Shinra, he has high potential to become a powerful character, so fans can only wait to see how he grows as a "knight."

2 Maki Is The Perfect Mix of Physical Combat Skills & Pyrokinesis

Classification

Second Generation Pyrokinetic

Abilities

Fire Manipulation, High-Level Strength, Expert Physical Combat Skills

Right from Fire Force's first season, it was obvious that Maki's hand-to-hand combat skills are top-notch since she was capable of subduing the Arthur-Shinra duo. That alone makes her an impressive fighter. However, in a world of pyrokinetics and infernals, someone can only do so much with hand-to-hand combat experience. This is where her Second Generation pyrokinetic ability comes into play.

Using fireballs aided by Vulcan's Iron Owls, Maki releases destructive attacks that can end opponents with one physical hit. Also, her direct fire manipulation skill is on a different level as she was able to subdue a large fire in season 2, long enough for Karim Flam to freeze the flames.

1 Shinra’s Adolla Burst Makes Him An Unpredictable Entity With Limitless Potential

Classification

Third Generation Pyrokinetic

Abilities

Immense Speed, Adolla Burst, Fire Manipulation, Press of Death, Breath Of Life

Even without utilizing the Adolla Burst, Shinra was already one of Company 8 biggest assets in battle. His Third Generation pyrokinetic abilities grant him incredible speed, which serves different purposes. However, after Shinra learned how to receive "Grace" from the Evangelist, he became an invincible force.

In season one's ending, Shinra's Adolla Burst allowed him to even surpass the speed of light in his battle against his brother, Sho. In season 2, he defeated a Demon Infernal within the timeframe of a second, showing that his limitless speed ranks him as one of the strongest character series. Shinra’s Demon God form in the manga is jaw-dropping, and it should be a sight to see when it’s animated in Fire Force’s last season.
