Hapi

Fire Emblem Warriors - Three Hopes_Ashen Wolves_Hapi

Hapi was the premier Valkyrie unit in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, bearing the mysterious crest of Timotheos and the ability to summon monsters whenever she sighs. However, her lack of control over this power (and people's treatment of her because of it) has made her apathetic and cynical of people in positions of power.

Her talents as a spellcaster are retained in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, though the Valkyrie class is not available, so her favored class is now Gremory.

Hapi's personal skill "Nether Sigh" creates fields of dark damage when she performs a strong attack or finishes her normal combo. Tapping ZR detonates these fields for an additional explosion of dark damage, giving her excellent crowd control capabilities.

Her "Monstrous Appeal" skill allows her to deal a small amount of damage to a monster's barriers even if she is not using an attack that corresponds to one of the barriers. This gives her additional utility as a monster slayer. When being issued orders from the map, her "Power of the Night" skill increases the damage she deals to foes when ordered to guard.

Hapi is an excellent spellcaster with access to a variety of powerful dark magic, and can eventually equip the Hero's Relic Tome "Hrotti" to further enhance her spell list with access to Dark Spikes T.

Here's how to unlock Hapi in each of the three routes:

  • Scarlet Blaze: Choose the "Persuade Hapi" strategy in Chapter 4's main battle and activate the strategy as soon as possible when Hapi and Constance appear. Then simply defeat her to add her to the team.
  • Azure Gleam: Much like in Scarlet Blaze, choose the "Persuade Hapi" strategy in the main battle of Chapter 4 and activate it once Hapi appears. Defeat her to recruit her.
  • Golden Wildfire: Hapi appears towards the end of Chapter 9's main battle, so grab the "Persuade Hapi" strategy before starting the battle and then activate it when she appears. Take her down, and defeat equals friendship.

Hapi is an excellent addition to the team in any route.

Constance

Fire Emblem Warriors - Three Hopes_Ashen Wolves_Constance

Constance Von Nuvelle of House Nuvelle is a former imperial noble whose family had their titles and lands taken from them. Ordinarily, Constance is haughty, confident, and domineering, despite retaining a refined and polite manner of speaking.

Due to a tragedy in her past, she suffers from dual personality disorder, with sunny weather rendering her lethargic, apathetic, and even self-deprecating. She bears the crest of Noa.

Constance's personal skill "Personality Shift" generates orbs as she attacks (either light or dark depending on which personality is currently dominant), which can be fired at foes ahead of her by tapping ZR.

Her "Emergent Magic" skill provides a chance of casting a more powerful version of any spell she casts, while "Resolute Path" reduces the damage taken when ordered to seize a location.

Constance is a bit of a glass cannon, capable of dealing out incredible magical damage but lacking in defenses, health, and physical stats. She was the premier Dark Flyer in Three Houses, but Three Hopes lacks the Dark Flyer class, so her preferred class is now Gremory.

She fills the role of offensive spellcaster exceptionally well, especially if she has a beefier teammate to keep foes busy.

Here's how to recruit Constance on each route:

  • Scarlet Blaze: Choose the "Persuade Constance" tactic for the main battle of chapter 4, activate it when she appears, and then beat her to recruit her. She appears at the same time as Hapi, so players wanting to get the Wolves back together should make sure to also perform the steps to recruit Hapi during this battle.
  • Azure Gleam: Choose the "Persuade Constance" tactic for the main battle of chapter 11, activate it, and beat her in battle.
  • Golden Wildfire: During Chapter 9's main battle, use the "Persuade Constance" tactic when she appears and then defeat her in battle.

Balthus

Fire Emblem Warriors - Three Hopes_Ashen Wolves_Balthus

Balthus, Leicester's King of Grappling, is an exceptional hand-to-hand fighter with a serious gambling problem. Hearty, careless, but non-judgemental and surprisingly empathetic, Balthus is an exceptionally strong addition to the team on any route, acting as the sole brawling specialist on some routes. He bears the crest of Chevalier.

Balthus' "Golden Fists" skill gives him increased attack power proportional to his hit count once he passes a certain threshold, while causing any enemy sent flying to grant some gold (hopefully enough to help cover his debts).

His "King of Grappling" skill ensures that even when wounded, he just gets more dangerous by greatly increasing his critical rate when below a certain percentage of health.

"Raging Tempest" increases his damage dealt to enemies when ordered to seize, allowing him to press forward and take enemy strongholds easily, even when not under player control.

Balthus is a tremendously strong physical fighter who deals tremendous damage and has a decent amount of defense and health to keep him going. Wielding fist weapons, like his Hero's Relic Vajra-Mushti, allows him to deal even more damage when fighting mages and other tome-wielding spellcasters, and he performs best with these kinds of weapons.

Balthus can be recruited on each route in the following ways:

  • Scarlet Blaze: Activate the "Persuade Balthus" strategy during the main battle of chapter 6, activate it when he shows up, and then take him down to recruit him.
  • Azure Gleam: Activate the "Persuade Balthus" strategy at the main battle of chapter 10, activate it when he takes to the field, and take him down to add him to the team.
  • Golden Wildfire: Activate the "Persuade Balthus" strategy in chapter 4's main battle, activate it after he arrives, and then take him down to recruit him.

Yuri

Fire-Emblem-Warriors---Three-Hopes_Ashen-Wolves_Yuri-1

Yuri, the Vicious Mockingbird, is the leader of the Ashen Wolves and a highly skilled tactician. He has a sharp tongue and a reserved demeanor, but this hides that he can be quite kind. He's a swindler, manipulator, and participatory in illicit markets, though much of this is done to aid the less fortunate, and he bears the lost crest of Aubin.

Yuri's "Deceit" skill allows him to create a wind orb that draws in foes before exploding, helping him to group enemies together for follow-up attacks and deal some extra damage in the process. His "Schemer" skill is powerful but tricky to use, restoring some of his awakening gauge whenever he executes a perfect dodge, and "Honorable Spirit" increases his damage dealt to enemies when ordered to defend.

The leader of the Ashen Wolves is also the only one whose preferred class made the cut for Three Hopes, "Trickster." Using a mixture of swordplay, incredible speed, knife throwing, and magic, Yuri has no shortage of ways to pile pressure onto his enemies.

Yuri makes for an excellent addition to the team on any route, though he and Petra share the same preferred classes. His Hero's Relic "Fetters of Dromi," allows him to move with the speed of a mounted unit at all times, making him an exceptionally fast unit who can easily cross the map to arrive exactly where he's needed.

Here's how to recruit Yuri on each route:

  • Scarlet Blaze: Activate the "Persuade Yuri" strategy after he enters the battlefield in chapter 10 and then take him down to recruit him.
  • Azure Gleam: Activate the "Persuade Yuri" strategy in chapter 9 and beat him in a fight to get him on the team.
  • Golden Wildfire: Activate the "Persuade Yuri" strategy in chapter 10 when he arrives; take him down, and then he'll join up.
