Fire Emblem Heroes has doled out plenty of new content over the course of frequent updates and the addition of several characters from past Fire Emblem games, but the latest is one of the biggest. Now that the fourth chapter of the gacha-based RPG has wrapped up, Nintendo has lifted the veil off its next story expansion, Book 5, which is out now.

The company went into detail on what fans can expect in the latest Feh Channel update video. In a bit of a departure from the franchise’s typical sword and sorcery vibe, Book 5 takes Fire Emblem Heroes to the steampunk realm of Nidavellir, where magic and science have been fused together to create high-tech weaponry. The most prominent example of this is the horse-like battle mech known as Gullinbursti, which players can take into battle.

The first round of Book 5 story content is available for all players to dive into, regardless of how far they’ve gotten into the game. As with previous Books, playing through the first chapter provides them with a brand new character, in this case the new Mythic Hero Reginn, the princess of Nidavellir. Joining her in this week’s “Book 5 Begins” summoning banner are Duessel, Selena, and Nathasha from the 2004 Game Boy Advance game Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones.

Players can also get their hands on two more characters from The Sacred Stones, Knoll and Caellach, by clearing a Book 5 Begins quest and Grand Hero Battle event, respectively. What’s more, Nintendo is teasing even more characters that will be added during a holiday-themed event later this month. In the meantime, players can earn new items for the Aether Resort mode, as well as up to 20 orbs as login bonuses over the next two weeks, giving them a greater chance of summoning one of the new characters.

Fire Emblem Heroes is free to play on Mobile.
