Fire Emblem: Engage was recently released on January 20, 2023, for the Nintendo Switch exclusively. Being the newest installment in the mainline game since Fire Emblem: Three Houses, fans eagerly waited to see what direction this game would go gameplay and story-wise, especially with the introduction of new game features like the Engage system.

From the royals like Alfred or Ivy, to commoners such as Etie or Yunaka, the game surely has at least a bunch of characters players will enjoy. What elevates characters are their voice actors and how they showcase emotions through their dialogue. While all the Japanese voice actors did a great job in this game, some are more well-known due to previous big roles and might be more recognizable to most fans.

6 Nobuhiko Okamoto - Alcryst

Nobuhiko Okamoto is Alcryst’s voice, the second prince of the Brodia Kingdom. He is known mainly for his role as Katsuki Bakugo, one of the main characters in the anime My Hero Academia. That aside, he is also known for voicing the iconic character from Assassination Classroom, Karma Akabane.

Other roles he could be recognized for are Ryo Kurokiba from Food Wars, Rin Okumura from Blue Exorcist, and Yuu Nishinoya from Haikyu!! When it comes to video games, he could be identified as the voice actor for characters such as Tianyou Zhao from Yakuza, as well as Nier from Nier Replicant.

5 Horo Shimono - Male Alear

Horo Shimono, the voice actor for male Alear, is well known for voicing Zenitsu Agatsuma most recently for the popular anime Kimetsu no Yaiba. He also lent his voice to anime characters such as Dabi from My Hero Academia and Nacht Faust from Black Clover. Besides that, he has also voiced Connie Springs, a well-liked character from the anime Attack on Titan.

And when it comes to video games, he also has his fair share, such as Kokichi Oma, a widely beloved character from the game Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony. Added to that is his performance for Rex from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Ryunoske Naruhoda from the Great Ace Attorney, among many many others.

4 Fairouz Ai Kadota - Yunaka

Despite being quite a new voice actress, starting just in 2019, Fairouz Ai Kadota, the voice actress for the cute and lovely Yunaka, has become quite popular in recent years. She is also known as being one of the few very well-known Japanese voice actors who aren’t fully Japanese, as she is half-Egyptian.

Her role that especially made her shine was that of the main character Jolyne Cujoh from the anime Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures Part 6: Stone Ocean. She also recently lent her voice to Power from Chainsaw Man.

3 Kotono Mitsuishi - Lumera

Kotono Mitsuishi is the voice actress of Lumera, Alear’s mother and the queen of Lythos. Kotono is known for voicing very famous female characters, her most iconic role being the face of Shojo anime, Tsukino Usagi, also known as Sailor Moon.

Besides Usagi, she also voices other popular female characters such as Boa Hancock from One Piece, Mei Mei from Jujutsu Kaisen, and Misato Katsuragi from Evangelion. When it comes to video games, she has quite a lot of roles like Katherine, from the game Catherine: Full Body, and Pekoyama Peko from the game Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair.

2 Saori Hayami - Chloé

Saori Hayami, the voice actress for Chloé, has voiced many iconic female characters. Most recently, fans might recognize her voice from the hit anime Spy x Family, as she voiced Yor Forger. She also started voicing Yamato from One Piece. Besides that, she is known for her roles as Yumeko Jabami from Kakegurui, Fubuki in One Punch Man, Shoko Nishimiya from the movie A Silent Voice, Shinobu Kocho from Kimetsu no Yabai, and Himawari from Boruto.

As for video games, she is known among Fire Emblem fans as the voice of Caede, Marth’s wife, but also in other roles such as Kamisato Ayaka in Genshin Impact and Tao Isonokami in Shin Megami Tensei V.

Takehito Koyasu is perhaps one of the best-known voice actors out there, voicing an array of extremely well-known characters from famous anime. Without a doubt, his best role would be none other than that of Dio Brando, an important antagonist throughout multiple Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures parts.

Aside from Dio, he also voices Zeke Yeager, Eren’s older brother from Attack on Titan, as well as Claudia Hodgins from Violet Evergarden, Aokiji from One Piece, Gin Dojima from Food Wars, and Rossasl L Mathers from Re: Zero. His voice should also be familiar to Fire Emblem fans, especially those who have played Fire Emblem: Three Houses, as he voices Seteth, a very, memorable member of the Church.
