Fire Emblem Engage brings heroes from different worlds to battle the forces of the Fell Dragon, which are led by the mysterious Four Hounds from the kingdom of Elusia. These Four Hounds are plotting an evil scheme in Fire Emblem Engage, and its up to Alear and ally forces to defeat the Fell Dragon once and for all. Before the release of Fire Emblem Engage next month, Nintendo revealed the villainous group with new images.

Fire Emblem Engage takes cues from the popular Fire Emblem Heroes mobile game, bringing iconic protagonists from prior games into the current world of Fire Emblem. Returning heroes for Fire Emblem Engage include Celica from Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia and Sigurd from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. These heroes will support Fire Emblem Engage protagonist Alear in the war against the Fell Dragon and its forces. However, the Four Hounds of Elusia will prove to be formidable enemies.

Nintendo shared new images of the mysterious Four Hounds in Fire Emblem Engage via its official Twitter account. Hailing from the kingdom of Elusia, the Four Hounds consist of Fell Dragon followers Griss, Zephia, Marni, and Mauvier. Zephia is the prominent leader of the Four Hounds and a descendant of the millennia-old Demon Dragon clan. Standing to Zephia's right-hand side is Griss, her confidant and loyal comrade in battle. Marni and the loyal soldier Mauvier stand to her left as the last two members of the Four Hounds.

The Elusian kingdom worships the Fell Dragon and aims to revive the evil entity in the world of Fire Emblem Engage. The Four Hounds are merciless in their quest and will do whatever it takes to stand in the way of Alear, but the Divine Dragon army stands as a pivotal ally for the protagonist. Alear and allies may harness the power of Emblem Rings, which are imbued with the power of legendary Fire Emblem heroes. The war will turn into the ultimate power struggle between light and dark when Fire Emblem Engage launches.

Elusia's Four Hounds should prove to be a memorable antagonistic force in Fire Emblem Engage. Once more, the world is threatened by the Fell Dragon of the ancient past, and the Four Hounds seem to be the dragon's best chance at revival.

If Fire Emblem Engage takes more cues from past titles, then the actual Fire Emblem shield may be a boon to Alear as it once was to Marth. Marth will lend his aid to Alear and may guide the protagonist toward ending the Fell Dragon threat this January.

Fire Emblem Engage releases on January 20, 2023 for Nintendo Switch.
