Final Fantasy XIV's combat classes are vast and diverse. Between its healers, tanks, and DPS classes, there are a total of 18, and each of them (except Blue Mage) are maxed out at level 80. Getting more than one class to level 80 can be quite the challenge. However, there are players who have gotten all their classes to 80. How do they do it? Many have their own routine when logging into the MMO game, and some routines are better than others when it comes to gaining experience fast.

While some players like to take it slow, there are some that are trying to catch up to their friends, or they are just really excited for getting to a certain expansion. For example, it is the latest expansion (Shadowbringers) that has the highest ratings and you have to be level 70 to even get there.

Daily roulettes are one of the most fun ways to gain a lot of experience, especially if you are caught up in the main story. It is fun to revisit the beautiful dungeons and epic bosses. There are different kinds of roulettes, and more get unlocked the higher your level is. The roulettes range from leveling, 50/60/70, expert, level 80, trials, alliance raids, main story, and normal raids.

The roulettes that deal the most experience out to the player is main story, alliance raid, and leveling. However, many players skip main story roulettes because they often bombard you with unstoppable cutscenes.

Story and job quests are guaranteed to get one combat class to level 80 alone. Depending on how you play though, you could get to level 80 before completing all the story that is available. If that is the case, you can consider saving the leftover story for leveling up another class. However, that could take a great deal of patience.

Do not forget about job quests either. There are far less of them, but they are also a way to get experience while also getting story. The class quests can also be necessary to unlock certain abilities for the class.

There are all kinds of hunts. To get started on them, you need to reach Second Lieutenant rank in your Grand Company. Once that is done, you can begin collecting hunt requests every day. Some are daily and some are weekly. Of course, the weekly ones give the bigger reward and are more difficult to locate and defeat.

Depending on your level, you can do hunts in A Realm Reborn, Heavensward, Stormblood, and/or Shadowbringers. Elite ones only appear under certain conditions. Some players are very committed to hunts.

Some players prefer to grind FATES to get experience points for their combat classes. To best utilize grinding FATES, it is best to choose a zone best suited for your level. You will also want a zone that you can fly in too so that you can easily cruise from one FATE to the next one that pops up.

Besides experiences, some FATES yield different rewards. Certain ones can even get you a minion. It is also important to know that there are some FATES a player can solo and some that they definitely cannot. For example, Odin is impossible to solo and needs a ton of players to go down.

Guildhests are instanced group quests that typically include a mini dungeon or boss fight. They are a great way for beginners to learn mechanics. To unlock Guildhests, you need to complete the quest "Simply the Hest" which is available once you reach level 10 in Limsa Lominsa, Girdania, and/or Ul'dah.

There are some players that don't do Guildhests at all. Those who do though recognize that it has a quicker queue time than roulettes and is an easy and quick way to gain experience.

2 Grind Palace Of The Dead Or Heaven On High

Palace of the Dead is ground zero for quickly leveling up a class you have never played before. What level your class is depends on what level you enter the Palace of the Dead. Not only is it a way to get a lot of experience, but you can get some pretty cool loot.

If you are level 60 or above, then Heaven on High is better than the Palace of the Dead, as it is basically the same deal but crafted for higher level players. These options are best for DPS classes. Healers and tank classes will get a little less experience.

1 Complete Challenge Log
