Physical copies of Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Collection will be restocked next month not by Square Enix but rather by an independent online retailer. Final Fantasy fans and retro gaming enthusiasts alike will be granted a second chance to add a physical copy of the bundle comprised of six classic JRPG games from the beloved franchise Final Fantasy to their collection.

When Square Enix announced that it would release the classic Final Fantasy games for consoles, players excitedly awaited for the chance to purchase a copy. However, it sold out as soon as it became available to purchase, and it left many without a copy as Square Enix’s supply was limited. Fortunately, the game is available for digital download both in a bundle and separately for those who are only interested in particular titles. Unfortunately, if players without a physical copy want to proudly display one on their shelves then they will have to rely on buying from resellers who are listing Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster for insane prices. However, there is still a chance for collectors to get their hands on a (much more affordable) copy next month.

A noticeable difference between the North American version compared to the version for the Asia region is there are no age ratings on the cover or on the cartridge. There are also pixelated characters from the Final Fantasy series on the reversed side of the cover. There are no differences in gameplay between the two versions. Players, both novices and veterans of the series, will be able to experience the beginnings that started it all for the popular JRPG Final Fantasy, including its turn-based combat that is no longer present in modern Final Fantasy games.

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Collection consists of six classic games from the beloved JRPG series Final Fantasy. Compared to the original games, the remastered versions of the classic Final Fantasy games make a few quality-of-life changes. It enhances the visuals and gameplay by revising the original font, modernizing the UI, offering auto-battle options, and updating its pixel art. It also comes with special features including a bestiary, illustration gallery, and music player.

The lack of accessibility is one of the issues gamers have with getting into retro gaming. Fortunately, Square Enix made the classic Final Fantasy series available for more platforms, so a wider audience are able to enjoy these classic games now with improvements gamers today would likely appreciate. Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Collection would be a fun nostalgic trip or great way to dive into the series history while awaiting the release of Final Fantasy 16.

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Collection is available for digital download on Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and PS5.
