[UPDATE August 7th, 2021 by Anthony Puleo]

Unfortunately, it has been discovered that the post below is actually a scam, and user laguna_lorie played no part in the creation of this masterpiece. Likewise, Redditors have found that many other Final Fantasy creations shared on their Reddit account (including the Sephiroth sculpture mentioned in the original article, which itself was made by Redditor Aya-kun) are also stolen. Early investigation points towards this being a scam attempt, as laguna_lorie was charging $60 per clock kit. For players wondering about who the actual creator is, it was made by an employee at Verne and Welles in Kirkland, WA. The tweet below is from Maryxus Maddly, the owner of that club. Do not attempt to send any money to laguna_lorie, please support the original creators instead. A special thanks to those that discovered this and brought it to GameRant's attention. The original article below has been left unedited.

Final Fantasy is a sprawling franchise with many entries in it, and each one has a unique logo. While these logos are all different from each other, they tend to share the same style, and each one has some kind of symbol that is iconic to the game or its story. For Final Fantasy 7, this is the dreaded meteor that the player is trying to stop, and for the original Final Fantasy, it's the Warrior of Light himself. While casual fans may not be able to tell which of these symbols denote which games, Redditor laguna_lorie is clearly no casual fan. In fact, they took things a step further by making these symbols into a clock.

Naturally, only 12 of the now 16 mainline Final Fantasy games are represented in this clock, as there's no 13 to put that symbol there. While the clock is impressive enough to fans who know what it means, digging into the comments of the post reveals that it's even cooler than it looks.

Describing their creation, laguna_lorie explains that each piece of art below is also a music box. Whenever the clock hits the hour, music from that particular game plays. For example, at 7:00, the Final Fantasy 7 battle theme goes off. This is presumably true for the other hours as well, meaning this room must be filled with Final Fantasy music fairly frequently. Given the franchise's exemplary music, this can hardly be seen as a problem.

As fans shower laguna_lorie's creation with praise, the creator diligently thanks everyone and takes a moment to share that there will be more Final Fantasy projects such as this one coming up. Players that are interested in seeing more work like this should definitely check out their Reddit account or the Final Fantasy subreddit, as this is likely where they will posted. For those that really love this clock in particular, laguna_lorie also shares that they custom make these for fans, so it might be worth reaching out for those serious about getting their hands on one.

At least one of laguna_lorie's other Final Fantasy projects is already finished, as they also shared a clay sculpture of Sephiroth from Final Fantasy 7 Remake to that game's subreddit. This is also incredibly detailed and received a lot of love from fans for the craftsmanship, so it seems they have a wide berth of talents. It's impossible to say what kind of craft will come next.
