The Nvidia GeForce Now streaming platform has potentially had a massive data leak that has revealed a slew of unannounced games, including some massive Square Enix titles. While fans should still take this leak with a massive grain of salt, some of the information in it has been backed up by reliable sources, including Windows Central's Jez Corden, who has corroborated some of the Xbox-related info. This doesn't mean that everything in the leak is accurate, but the leak still has plenty of exciting things for Final Fantasy fans to ponder over.

There are four Final Fantasy projects mentioned in the leak. Assuming the leak is accurate, it seems as though Final Fantasy fans may be able to look forward to Final Fantasy Tactics Remastered at some point down the line, alongside the long-rumored PC port of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and an eventual PC port of Final Fantasy 16. Perhaps the most shocking game mentioned in the leak, though, is a Final Fantasy 9 remake, though it's possible that this is actually in reference to the existing enhanced version that already exists.

There is some corrobating evidence that makes this Nvidia GeForce Now leak more legitimate than other leaks, but it's always best to keep one expectations in check. It's quite possible that these games are listed merely for testing purposes and don't exist as actual projects. That being said, it would be hard to find a Final Fantasy fan who wouldn't be excited at the prospect of a Final Fantasy Tactics or remaster or a full-blown remake of Final Fantasy 9. The latter seems almost too good to be true, though, as Square Enix is not even close to being done with its work on Final Fantasy 7 Remake yet.

If a Final Fantasy 9 remake does exist and that's not just at typo or placeholder text, one has to imagine when it would get announced. As it stands, Square Enix has a ton on its plate and is actively developing multiple Final Fantasy games, so it seems way too early to throw a Final Fantasy 9 remake on the pile as well. Square Enix is confirmed for Tokyo Game Show, though, so maybe fans will get some answers about some of these potentially leaked projects sooner rather than later.

Out of the "leaked" games, the most believable is the Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Final Fantasy 16 PC ports. A Final Fantasy 7 Remake PC port has been leaked multiple times, and Final Fantasy 16 is only a timed-PS5 exclusive, with plans to bring it other platforms once that exclusivity window is over. Square Enix has already brought many of its major games to PC and so one has to imagine that FF16 will come to the platform eventually.

None of these potential Final Fantasy projects have been announced in an official capacity at the time of this writing.
