After nearly six years of development, the highly anticipated release of Final Fantasy 7 Remake is now a little over a week away. It's only been four months, and 2020 has already been an incredibly exciting year for gaming. Now, new information has shown that Final Fantasy 7 Remake will prove to be quite an extensive journey.

Final Fantasy is one of the most universally recognized gaming franchises in existence. It's a series with fifteen installments in the main franchise and numerous amounts of spin-off games and sub-series. However, one of the most beloved and iconic entries in the primary series is Final Fantasy 7, and when it was announced at E3 2015 that Square Enix was remaking the seventh entry, there was a massive wave of excitement throughout the gaming community.

While a demo of the game has been released and some details have surfaced, not much else is known about the structure and narrative of the full game. However, the entire trophy list has now been revealed, and tells quite a lot about what to expect from the main game.

The trophy list, available via PowerPyx, is incredibly extensive, with over fifty different trophies for the player to unlock. The trophy list reveals that there will apparently be eighteen chapters in the main story, which certainly explains the game's large file size.

This game has been teased for so many years now that it's extremely nice to finally hear some concrete information regarding Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Not to mention the fact that this game is episodic and is only one episode in a large story. It sounds as though fans of Final Fantasy will still be enjoying the story of the seventh entry for years to come.

The remake also opens the door for many other opportunities. Square Enix has a multitude of older, lesser-known titles that deserve to be given the same treatment as Final Fantasy 7 Remake. In fact, the producer of the game has already teased a potential new installment of Parasite Eve, a series that hasn't seen a new entry in over a decade. Though, perhaps fans are getting ahead of themselves. The long-awaited remake of Final Fantasy 7 should be more than enough for now.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake launches exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on April 10th, 2020.
