Followers of the account will likely recall that the Final Fantasy 7: The First Soldier pre-registration period opened only during the last week of October 2021. This gave the game only three weeks to reach the impressive milestone, given its launch date of November 17. This goes to show that Square Enix may have had the right instinct in trusting that the Final Fantasy 7 fanbase will pull through in terms of player support.
Square Enix has also done its part in generating hype and excitement for Final Fantasy 7: The First Soldier. During TGS 2021, a dedicated livestream went through the features of the mobile game. This includes the area maps, different playable classes, and actual gameplay of the title. The development team also revealed how the game fits into the Final Fantasy 7 storyline, and offered an explanation that it is a prequel that takes place 30 years before the events of the popular RPG.
To celebrate hitting the two million pre-registration milestone, players who signed up for Final Fantasy 7: The First Soldier will receive in-game rewards once they log into the game. These are mostly aesthetic items based on the series' Shinra Company. The title is already available to pre-install on Android and iOS devices, so excited fans can immediately start playing the battle royale title as soon as it released on mobile.
