Final Fantasy 7 Remake has found renewed life thanks to a PS5 release and a new DLC episode. The Yuffie DLC, known as Episode INTERmission, adds hours of new story content to the overall Final Fantasy 7 Remake tale. In addition to following Yuffie's adventures through Midgar, players can also engage in some whimsical new side quests and mini-games. Gamers will have to become very skilled at the Fort Condor mini-game in order to earn the Game, Set, Master trophy. This guide will explain how to get the trophy and provide some tips on beating opponents in Fort Condor.

In the original 1997 release of Final Fantasy 7, Fort Condor was a location that players could visit. It was also the site of a sort of tower defense mini-game. This content has been condensed into a streamlined form in the Episode INTERmission Yuffie DLC of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. In the recent release, Fort Condor is a board game played by various familiar Final Fantasy 7 characters that live in the Sector 7 Slums. To become a grandmaster at the game, players will have to beat seven NPCs in Fort Condor.

How to Get Game, Set, Master Trophy in Final Fantasy 7 Remake Yuffie DLC

When players first unlock the Fort Condor mini-game, they will only be able to challenge Rank 1 opponents. There are a total of three Rank 1 opponents to defeat before moving on to Rank 2. These low-tier foes are very easy to defeat. Players just need to keep in mind the basics of strengths and weaknesses in Fort Condor. Red (Vanguard) units are strong against Green (Ranged) units, which are strong against Blue (Defender) units, which are strong against the Red units.

By countering the foes troops with the appropriate color, it will be easy to clear a path to the enemy base and destroy it for a victory.

The Rank 1 opponents and their locations in the Sector 7 Slums are as follows:

  • Kyrie - To the west, near the Stargazer Heights apartments.
  • Johnny - In an alleyway going through the center of the slums.
  • Shinra Middle Manager - To the east, near the edge of the Residential Area.

Upon ascending to Rank 2, opponents become a bit more difficult to defeat. Countering the enemy units' colors and relying on brute force will still work for the most part, but players will need a strategy for taking down powerful units like the Cutter. A good rule of thumb is to be patient and build up enough ATB to call out high-level units as well. For example, the M.O.T.H. Unit is extremely effective against Roche.

The Rank 2 opponents and their locations in the Sector 7 Slums are as follows:

  • Jessie - On the porch leading into the Seventh Heaven bar.
  • Roche - East of the Residential Area, in Pillar Plaza.

There is only one Rank 3 opponent, and that's Wedge. He can be found in the southeast corner of the Residential Area within the Sector 7 Slums. Wedge will be a much more difficult opponent than any faced before. Fans who have spoken to Old Snapper and learned about his side quest to find all Happy Turtle Flyers will be at an advantage. Old Snapper will sell useful Boards and units that players can use in Fort Condor. These items cost Condor Coins, but players will likely have several saved up from defeating the NPCs so far.

Buying more Fort Condor pieces from Old Snapper should be enough to overcome Wedge. After that, there is only one more opponent standing between the playable character Yuffie and the Fort Condor grandmaster title. Chadley is the fearsome final foe that players will have to beat to get the Game, Set, Master trophy.

Chadley will be waiting towards the western end of the Residential Area of the Sector 7 Slums, near the entrance to Scrap Boulevard. Players will have to put all their Fort Condor knowledge to use to beat Chadley, and it would be particularly beneficial to equip a board with fast ATB speed and some Barracks units that can quickly overwhelm the enemy headquarters.

Once the player has earned the title of Fort Condor grandmaster, they will also obtain the Game, Set, Master trophy. For those who fell in love with the Fort Condor mini-game and want more of a challenge, there is a solution. By playing the Episode INTERmission DLC on Hard mode, the Fort Condor mini-game will also increase in difficulty.

Hard mode will unlock after beating the full length of the Yuffie DLC. Experts who are capable of becoming grandmaster on Hard difficulty will earn the Condor Queen trophy.
