Final Fantasy 7 Remake was first revealed as a PlayStation exclusive game, but it was always known that it would only be a timed exclusive. Final Fantasy 7 Remake's PlayStation timed exclusivity is believed to be at least six months since launch, with that likely having started over since Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade hit PS5. Since Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade released on June 10, it stands to reason that the game could make its way to other platforms starting in December.

Nothing official has been announced at the time of this writing, and so far, Final Fantasy 7 Remake is still only confirmed for PlayStation consoles. However, Xbox China recently sent out a tweet that, while not an exact translation, was basically a poll asking fans to pick from a variety of "Xbox" characters. The poll focused on women from various games available on Xbox, and oddly included Tifa Lockhart in the lineup despite Final Fantasy 7 Remake only being available for PlayStation so far.

Xbox China deleted the poll and released a new one without Tifa as an option. It's possible that the poll was meant to be a reference to the original Final Fantasy 7 game, which is playable on Xbox, and that the tweet was deleted to avoid confusion. However, it's also possible that the tweet has essentially leaked the existence of a Final Fantasy 7 Remake Xbox port. While it hasn't been officially announced, the release of an FF7 Remake Xbox port is likely just a matter of time.

While there isn't a ton of evidence in favor of Final Fantasy 7 Remake coming to Xbox, the game's PlayStation exclusivity won't last forever, and it would make sense for Square Enix to eventually bring it to more platforms. And while there hasn't been quite as many leaks about a potential Final Fantasy 7 Remake Xbox port, there have been rumblings about a PC port for the game.

Multiple leaks have pointed to the existence of a Final Fantasy 7 Remake PC port, and if Square Enix is willing and able to bring the game to PC, one has to imagine that an Xbox release wouldn't be far behind.

In the meantime, the Xbox China tweet made reference to the 20th anniversary of Xbox. Microsoft is hosting an Xbox 20th anniversary stream next month, but it's already been said that the stream will not include new game announcements. So while a Final Fantasy 7 Remake Xbox port could very well be in the pipeline, don't expect an announcement for it at the show in November.
