Final Fantasy 7 Remake has been a resounding success since its release, so it's no surprise that promotions and products are popping up around the game. Temporary, pop-up shops are a popular phenomenon in Japan, celebrating a game, anime, or other subject for a limited time with unique products. However, they rarely show up outside of the country, so some fans may be excited to learn about a new Final Fantasy 7 Remake pop-up cafe opening outside Japan.

Pop-up cafes typically only keep their doors open anywhere from a single day to a month or so. Fans often line up in droves to gain access to limited merchandise, food, and drinks that are only available via the cafe.

Now, Square Enix will be opening a pop-up cafe in Beijing, China, on June 6, featuring exclusive Final Fantasy 7 Remake products. The cafe is slated to have nine special drinks in total, with at least three of them being based around specific characters. Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith all have special beverages being sold, which are themed around the characters' appearances and personalities.

Cloud's drink is delivered in a tall, thin glass, similar to his lean physique, with a yellow, citrusy-looking beverage inside. The drink appears to contain boba, aka tapioca pearls at the bottom, and is topped with a small dollop of whipped cream, citrus slices, and most tantalizing of all, a tiny buster sword.

Tifa's drink is in a shorter glass, appears to be primarily cream or ice-cream based, and is topped with whipped cream, a drizzle of chocolate syrup, and a thin black straw, looking like something like Tifa might whip up in Seventh Heaven herself (though sans alcohol in this case.) Aerith's drink also befits her nature, as a pale pink beverage topped with flower petals.

For now, it's unclear how long the cafe will remain open, though fans local to the area shouldn't expect it to stick around for long. Sadly, pop-up shops and cafes like these rarely make it to the United States, though it's possible that the game's overwhelming popularity and episodic releases could make for an exception. However, it's unlikely to happen until the current coronavirus pandemic is completely quelled, which may be some time yet.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is available now exclusively for the PS4.
