Being one of the main female characters in Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Tifa Lockhart is arguably one of the most cosplayed video game characters in the past couple of years. With the launch of the remake, and the PlayStation 5 upgrade in Intergrade, fans of Final Fantasy 7 now have a more high-definition look at their favorite martial artist. Given that players have more details on Tifa’s outfit than ever before, another fan has showcased their cosplay of the pugilist, this time depicting what the character would look like in the popular Wall Market gym of the game.
Though there are many scenes in Final Fantasy 7 Remake that are quite memorable, some fans may argue that none are as hilarious and nostalgic as the Wall Market portion of the game. Many fans will likely recall this area fondly, given that a lot of interesting things happen not only to Cloud Strife, but also to Tifa and Aerith Gainsborough. Square Enix has even honored the unforgettable series of events in Midgar’s Wall Market from the original game. The developers made the scenes in Final Fantasy 7 Remake more iconic by adding more challenging mini-games, and special cutscenes involving Cloud that have even blown up online.
On the Final Fantasy subReddit, cosplayer and Redditor Anastasia_komori shared a single photo of her recent Tifa Lockhart cosplay. She is seen dressed in Tifa’s Final Fantasy 7 Remake gear, and posing in what looks like a boxing ring. The photo seems to have been taken in the afternoon, right before the sunset, bathing the cosplayer in a nice golden glow. For the more imaginative fans, this image would likely seem like a more realistic take on Tifa casually hanging out in the gym in Midgar’s Wall Market.
User comments on the Reddit thread were very appreciative of Anastasia_komori’s depiction of Tifa. One fan pointed out that the subReddit has more Final Fantasy 7 cosplay content rather than topics about the video game franchise as a whole. Another even commented that Tifa cosplays seem to look better than the in-game version of Tifa, given that the developers have tweaked some things in her appearance, changing her look from the original FF7 game.
Nevertheless, Reddit currently seems like a great platform to find new cosplay of favorite characters from Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Hopefully more fans of the game will be inspired to cosplay other characters, especially with FF7R Part 2 coming soon. Most fans are likely interested in seeing more from both the video game and the cosplay community.
