With a new generation of gamers finally taking their first few steps into the massively well-known universe of FF7 through Final Fantasy 7 Remake, many are likely more familiar now with the character of Aerith Gainsborough. Quite a contrast to Cloud Strife's stoic personality, Aerith's bubbly persona has enamored many fans both through the original PlayStation game and more recently, through the modern remaster. Now, another FF7R fan has brought Aerith to life through cosplay, completing her iconic look and emphasizing it with a floral backdrop.

Just like her fellow Final Fantasy 7 female supporting character Tifa Lockhart, there have been many Aerith fans who show off their admiration by dressing up as the iconic flower girl. The internet is well-populated with Aerith cosplays, especially now that the game has been remastered with better visuals, and access to next-generation consoles. This gives models and crafters a more precise look into the outfit's details and accessories that low-resolution graphics of the original PS title could not provide before.

On Twitter, user @LitheCosplay shared a single photo of her Final Fantasy 7 Aerith costume. She is seen wearing the character's iconic light dress under her popular pinkish red jacket. She is also donning Aerith's accessories, such as her bright bow, bracelets, and leather choker. The photo is set outdoors, and the cosplayer poses in the middle of what seems to be cherry blossom-like flowers. Given that Aerith is known for her introduction to Cloud as the flower seller, the floral background of the image fits in quite well with the cosplay.

Though LitheCosplay is not holding any of Aerith's Final Fantasy 7 staffs, she is seen holding a basket filled with blooms. Her costume also seems like a mix between Aerith's outfits in FF7 and FF7R. Her jacket has the leather straps on the sleeves from the remake, however, she is also wearing arm bangles that are highly reminiscent of the ones seen on Aerith in the OG game. Even though it is not quite clear which outfit she is really portraying, there is no doubt that fans will instantly recognize the whole get-up even from a distance.

Aerith's role in Final Fantasy 7 Remake is likely just as integral as her presence in the original game. This has led to many speculations about her future, given the original ending of Final Fantasy 7. Without any information from Square Enix, however, fans can only theorize about what will really happen to the character. Hopefully the changes in the remake will appease fans, yet still remain true to the essence of the game.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is available now on PS4 and PS5.
