Although Final Fantasy 7 Remake features many of the classic scenes from Squaresoft's PS1 classic, the title also expands the experience in some significant ways. For example, there is a whole section of the game dedicated to a motorcycle chase that would have never been possible on Sony's first console.

During this motorcycle mini-game, Final Fantasy 7 Remake players are tasked with avoiding/fighting a group of Shinra soldiers, some robots, and eventually Roche, a new character in the updated version. If players get through this section mostly clean they will unlock the Biker Boy trophy which requires that players get praised by Jessie at the end of the motorcycle mini-game.

How to Unlock the Biker Boy Trophy

The game never makes it explicitly clear what it means to be “praised by Jessie,” and some players may think that a positive message for her will do the trick. As it turns out, though, there is a very specific stipulation in order to unlock the Biker Boy Trophy.

In order to be praised by Jessie at the end of the motorcycle mini-game, Final Fantasy 7 Remake players must complete the section with 80% health on Cloud's motorcycle. If they take too much damage, Jessie might still say something positive that sounds like praise but the Biker Boy trophy won't unlock.

If Final Fantasy 7 Remake players are hoping to get this trophy during their first playthrough, we recommend making a save in Chapter 4, right before heading off with Jessie. She will be standing outside Cloud's room and there is a confirmation prompt in order to progress. This way, if players get through the section and the trophy doesn't unlock, they can reload the save and try again.

The admittedly easier way to gain access to this section is through the Chapter Selection option in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake menu. This menu is very useful for picking up some of the missable trophies in the game, like getting a high score in darts and earning the Luck Up Materia.

Additionally, it's best to set the difficulty to easy, because going through this section on normal or hard makes it a lot more challenging to come out relatively unscathed. Roche in particular has attacks that are difficult to dodge and it's practically inevitable to take some damage.

When done correctly Jessie should praise Cloud for making it through the motorcycle mini-game and she should also give him a kiss on the cheek. Jessie will say this is Cloud's reward, but it's no Summon Materia.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is available now for PS4.
