For Halloween, a doctor shared a photo of himself dressed up as Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy 7, and posed with his large cat that's dressed up as a doctor. The photo garnered positive reactions from fans, flooding them with "awesome!" comments and curious questions about the cat.

The Final Fantasy franchise has a plethora of characters and monsters that fans could use as reference for cosplays and Halloween costumes. Final Fantasy 7 alone has iconic characters like Cloud Strife, Tifa Lockhart, Aerith Gainsborough, Barret Wallace, and Sephiroth. The game has become especially popular now thanks to its top-to-bottom remake. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, which will feature Cloud's best friend and mentor Zack Fair, is also coming soon.

For family doctor and HIV specialist Dr. William Powers, he chose Final Fantasy 7 main protagonist Cloud for his Halloween costume. In a photo he shared on the Final Fantasy subreddit recently, he wore the character's spiky blonde hair and armor. He also introduced Fenrir, his large therapy cat that has the Guinness World Record for being the world's tallest living domestic cat. Fenrir is one of six Savannah cats that Dr. Powers takes care of. He shares photos of their daily life at home and at the Powers Family Medicine clinic over on @starcats_detroit on Instagram.

Many Final Fantasy fans complimented Dr. Powers' costume. Others wanted to know more about Fenrir and Savannah cats in general. One commenter even joked that Fenrir is a "therapy Cait," referencing Final Fantasy 7 character Cait Sith, who is a humanoid cat.

Dr. Powers is just one of many passionate Final Fantasy players. So much that he apparently has an examination room decorated with posters and Cloud's buster sword in his clinic. One would assume that he's also waiting patiently for the upcoming games, such as the second part of Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Final Fantasy 16.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is the much-awaited continuation to the series, coming in late 2023 on the PS5. It will show other characters and possible alterations to the story—most prominently, Zack Fair's updated storyline. Meanwhile, Final Fantasy 16 will be the newest addition to the longstanding franchise. It will follow Clive Rosfield and his younger brother Joshua Rosfield, who will encounter several Dominants and other powerful beings in their long adventure. The game will also come out next year. Fans will certainly need to prepare for hours of gameplay and the amount of cosplay ideas for these games.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is currently in development and is set to release next Winter on PS5.
