Several months ago, the video game publisher and developer Square Enix revealed that Final Fantasy 15 players were to receive an update in February adding new, colorful outfits called Magitek Exosuits, which would make Noctis and his pals Gladiolus, Prompto, and Ignus invincible for a short period of time. However, the company was forced to shelve the DLC and make some revisions to the duds due to a copyright claim from the Power Rangers publisher saying that the suits looked too similar to those from the television and film series.

Now, Square Enix has officially announced that Final Fantasy 15 fans should expect to see the Magitek Exosuits be added to the role-playing game sometime this month by way of a free update. As seen in the tweet below from the game's official Japanese Twitter account, and according to a rough language conversion through Google's translation software, the video game publisher and developer apologizes to fans, saying, "Sorry to keep you waiting!"

For those wondering what Final Fantasy 15's Magitek Exosuits will specifically offer fans of the role-playing game, the outfits are set to make Noctis and his partners invulnerable to damage for 30 minutes upon equipping. However, there's a caveat to the costumes' abilities, as they can only be used in gameplay once every 24 hours, thus making the use of the suits a strategic decision for players of the title.

Taking all of this into account, it's great to see that Square Enix took its time remodeling the Magitek Exosuits in order to not only avoid reneging on its promise to add them to Final Fantasy 15, but also to continue adding quality content into the game for so long after its release last year. And speaking of solid post-launch support, Square Enix has also revealed that it will have some big announcements to share at gamescom 2017, which is most likely related to even more DLC for the title, or perhaps even a PC port for the RPG.

Final Fantasy 15 is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
