Although Final Fantasy 15's Episode Prompto DLC is officially out tomorrow, fans can get a look at the first 15 minutes of the expansion's content now thanks to a new piece of gameplay footage that has surfaced online. Not only does the video feature plenty of gunplay with pistols, sniper rifles, and machine guns, but also it touches on the story by offering several cinematic cutscenes that set up Prompto's journey.

As seen below in the gameplay video for Final Fantasy 15's Episode Prompto DLC, fans can watch everyone's favorite shutterbug from the main portion of the game go it alone as he takes part in some seemingly Metal Gear Solid-inspired action by skulking throughout an industrial facility's hallways while neutralizing enemies. At a certain point, Prompto even fulfills one of his favorite past times during combat by taking a selfie of himself in front of two baddies.

Of course, there are likely many Final Fantasy 15 fans who would rather skip watching the above piece of footage and wait until Episode Prompto releases tomorrow to experience firsthand exactly what kind of content it will offer. So, since this most recently released video reiterates Square Enix's reveal in a trailer last week that the expansion has third-person shooter combat while also including story details, such an avoidance might be a wise move.

For those wondering how much time they will be able to sink into Episode Prompto when it releases as Final Fantasy 15's next piece of DLC, Square Enix has confirmed that it will be a much more substantial offering than Episode Gladiolus. As a matter of fact, the publisher and developer explained in an E3 2017 live stream that the forthcoming expansion will be around two hours long.

All things considered, it looks as if Square Enix is prepared to continue supporting Final Fantasy 15 with post-launch materials for the foreseeable future, for beyond Episode Prompto, the company also has DLC planned for Ignis as well, but has yet to confirm a release date. Not to mention, the publisher and developer has asked fans for their input on potential story DLC, all of which could provide a gameplay experience as diverse and varied from the main game as Episode Gladiolus and Episode Prompto's content.

Final Fantasy 15 is out now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with its Episode Prompto DLC set to launch on June 27, 2017.
