Square Enix announces that fans can expect more Final Fantasy 15 details next month, including new battle footage, information on the Nilfheim Empire, and more.
With 2015 coming to a close, it’s time to look forward to the games that will define 2016. One such game is the long anticipated 15th entry in one of gaming’s longest running franchises, Final Fantasy 15. As it turns out, Square Enix is looking to kick the new year off with some fresh details on Final Fantasy 15, with a presentation over the game scheduled for January.
This presentation, also known as an Active Time Report, will feature brand new battle footage, an extended look at the antagonistic Niflheim Empire, and “more.” Other than that, Square Enix has been vague on details, as an actual date for the presentation hasn’t been nailed down. Moreover, it’s also unclear which Final Fantasy 15 developer will be delivering the news to gamers.
In any case, with Final Fantasy 15 scheduled for a 2016 release, this next Active Time Report is potentially the most exciting one yet. While fans shouldn’t expect an actual release date, it’s possible that a general time frame for release could be announced.
Another possibility is more news on the second Final Fantasy 15 demo. The demo in question was said to have been in development about a month ago, but Square Enix has yet to comment on it since. Next month’s Active Time Report seems like it would provide the perfect opportunity to let gamers know when the second demo for Final Fantasy 15 is on the way, or what exactly it will entail.
At any rate, those that wish to watch the Active Time Report will need to check out Square Enix’s official YouTube channel. The event will stream live from there, though as stated previously, Square Enix has yet to commit to a day or time. January is just a couple of weeks away, so hopefully Square Enix doesn’t keep fans waiting for the Active Time Report for too long.
Fans have been waiting a very long time for Final Fantasy 15, though. The game once known as Final Fantasy Versus 13 has been in development since 2006, and after a decade of waiting, a release is finally in sight. Square Enix claims that a concrete release date for Final Fantasy 15 isn’t coming until March, but with Final Fantasy 15 now playable from start to finish, perhaps Square Enix will let the cat out of the bag a little earlier than originally planned during next month’s Active Time Report.
What are you hoping to see during next month’s Active Time Report for Final Fantasy 15? Do you think a release window will be hinted at, or at least some more details on the game’s second demo? Drop a comment and let us know your thoughts on Final Fantasy 15, and what you’d like to see from next month’s Active Time Report presentation.
Final Fantasy 15 is due for release at an undetermined point in 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
