At Letter from the Producer Live Part 74, Final Fantasy 14 pulled back the curtain on some upcoming content arriving in Patch 6.3. The broadcast took place on the tenth anniversary of the shutdown of the much-maligned Final Fantasy 14 version 1.0, which culminated with the "End of an Era" cinematic trailer.The broadcast took place over a week after the release of Final Fantasy 14 Patch 6.28. Final Fantasy 14 game director and producer Naoki "Yoshi-P" Yoshida and global community producer Toshio "Foxclon" Murouchi went over what players can expect when Patch 6.3 goes live and provided a timetable on when different pieces of content will launch during the patch cycle. Yoshida and Murochi stated that further details on certain changes and additions to gameplay will be in the next Live Letter broadcast, which is slated to air sometime before the release of Patch 6.3.RELATED: Final Fantasy 14 Fan Crafts Christmas Chocobo Out of ClayFinal Fantasy 14 Patch 6.3, titled "Gods Revel, Lands Tremble," was given a release window of Early January 2023, after the New Year holiday season. Patch 6.3 will bring new main scenario quests, including a new dungeon and a new trial for players to challenge. The dungeon will be called "Lapis Manalis" while the trial battle was kept a secret. However, Yoshida stated that the trial will be available on Normal and Extreme difficulties. A sneak preview of the next part of the "Myths of the Realm" alliance raid series was shown. Back in Patch 6.1, the first part of the raid series saw players face challenges from the realms of lightning and fire, known collectively as Aglaia. The new raid instance will be called Euphrosyne and may feature the realms of earth and ice.

On the gameplay side, paladins will be receiving some significant changes in Patch 6.3. Yoshida said that testing is underway for the planned changes, and gameplay footage of these changes will be shown at the next Live Letter broadcast. Further job adjustments will be covered in either the next Live Letter or in the patch notes once Patch 6.3 is released. Yoshida then added that new additions and quality of life updates coming to the Island Sanctuary and showed some new animals that players can add to their islands, including a griffin, a tiger, and a morbol seedling.

In addition, six new housing wards will be added to all residential areas in Patch 6.3 via the lottery system. However, further details regarding plot distribution will come at a later date.

Between the updates to come, and a recent jump up in subscribers, Final Fantasy 14 players old and new will have more adventures to take on in the coming weeks.
