Although the MMO got off to a slow start, Final Fantasy XIV is still growing strong on PC and PS4 (sorry Xbox One users...)and has seem some incredible improvements with each major patch and expansion. The next substantial content update is all set to arrive, with the Stormbringer early access going live this morning and the full expansion launching on July 2. For many endgame players, that means it's time to explore a new Job.

In Final Fantasy XIV, Jobs are very similar to classes in WoW. The major difference, and advantage, is that a player can switch between multiple jobs and level them up independently. That means players don't need to make an alt when a new Job is released that they want to try out, they just have to meet the prerequisites and pick up the starting quest.

Stormbringers introduces a new tanking Job and a new DPS Job. Both Gunbreaker and Dancer seem like a ton of fun, but there are just a few things players need to do before they switch Jobs and start exploring the new spells and abilities...

Gunbreaker

Requirement: Disciple of War or Magic Level 60

Quest Title: The Makings of a Gunbreaker

Quest Starting Point: New Gridania

Dancer

Requirement: Disciple of War or Magic Level 60

Quest Title: Shall We Dance

Quest Location: Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks

Luckily, both of these starting quests are located in zones that experienced players should definitely already have fast travel access to. Each new class will require mastering some new strategies and techniques, so be sure to check back for additional information and guides as we continue to explore the new content. Until then, good luck becoming the warrior of darkness.

Final Fantasy XIV is available now on PC and PS4. The Stormbringers expansion is now available in early access for some players, but officially launches on July 2.
