A Guide of Sorts is a Main Scenario Quest in Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker that begins by sending players to speak with Y’Shtola. Upon completion of that quest step, fans will be instructed to search for Krile, though her precise position will not be revealed. Fortunately, it is not very difficult to locate Krile in Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker, and this guide is here to point players in the right direction.

In order to find Krile, players should begin by heading to the search area that is just to the southeast of Y’Shtola. This area manifests as a red circle on the in-game map, and fans should set their sights on its northwest perimeter. Indeed, Krile can be found at the end of a pathway in that portion of the search area, and the video that is below should make it quite easy for FF14 players to find her.

To note, players may discover that many other players are crowded around this Final Fantasy 14 character upon arrival, and that can make targeting her somewhat difficult. Fortunately, the Confirm keybind can be used to deal with exactly that situation, and fans can find it at the top of the System tab in the Keybind menu. Once a player has identified exactly which key they have assigned to Confirm, they can press it to target Krile and then press it again to interact with her.

Regardless of how an MMORPG fan ultimately ends up interacting with Krile, doing so will cause a short cutscene to trigger. When that cutscene ends, the “search for Krile” quest step will be immediately marked as completed, and players must now speak with Y’Shtola once again. This conversation serves as the final objective in Final Fantasy 14’s A Guide of Sorts quest, and players will receive their 448,000 XP and 975 Gil reward upon its conclusion.

From there, players can continue on the MSQ by talking to Alisaie, who is positioned directly next to Y’Shtola. Alternatively, fans can focus their efforts on unlocking the Sage class or the Reaper class in FF14: Endwalker, both of which are available to anyone that has purchased the expansion and is using a Level 70+ character. If neither of these options prove to be particularly appealing, players can instead go do some grinding in an attempt to hit the new level cap, which just so happens to be Level 90.

Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker is available now for PC, PS4, and PS5.
