'Final Fantasy 14' Extension Provides 30 Bonus Days For Registered Accounts

Final Fantasy Online

Ever wanted a 60 day trial of the latest and greatest MMO? Well, if you register your Final Fantasy XIV account and purchase a character no later than October 25 2010, you get an additional 30 free days on Square Enix. Do you want to know why?

Reviews have been mixed, though some are enjoying it others are finding it less than impressive. This fact has not been lost on Square Enix though, as they have been listening intently to their customers in order solve their problems. In fact, in their most recent announcement the Final Fantasy XIV team had this to say to its fan base:

"We would like to assure players that the world of FINAL FANTASY XIV is constantly growing and evolving, and the voices of the community are essential to that process. The development and management teams are carefully considering all player feedback, and working diligently to implement whatever changes and additions will serve to make Eorzea a better home for adventurers. We humbly ask for your continued support to this end."

This is what has spurred the additional 30 free days; they are listening to their customers. You cant fault a company for that, we anticipated this as a possibility when they had to delay their open beta days before launch because of numerous issues. Most MMO’s suffer from problems at launch, in fact there are 12 million customers who are thinking World of Warcraft: Cataclysm could have some big problems on release day. With poor story, a bad UI, and a lot of grind (which some people love), it is hard to say if Final Fantasy XIV can weather this storm. There is no question that the graphics are spectacular and that the entire team is working hard listening to players and fixing the issues that people are seeing, but is it too little too late?

So what do you do? Are you planing on getting in on the 60 days free? Or are you already part of Eorzea experience? We want to know what you Ranters have experienced in Final Fantasy XIV : The good, the bad, and the ugly. Do you love it or hate it? Tell us everything!

Final Fantasy XIV players should act now, as only accounts registered before the 25th gain access to the 30 additional free days.
