The Manderville Gold Saucer in Final Fantasy 14 is an optional, yet important venue for the Warrior of Light to venture as exclusive items, fashion, mounts, and minions are tied to resort casino. First introduced in Patch 2.51, players can access the Gold Saucer as early as level 15 after the completion of the main story quest, "The Gridanian Envoy," "The Ul'dahn Envoy," or "The Lominsan Envoy," depending on which city-state the Warrior of Light began their journey in Final Fantasy 14.

Players will then need to speak to the Well-Heeled Youth, located just outside of the main aetheryte in Ul'dah – Steps of Nald (X:9.6 Y:9.0) to begin the quest "It Could Happen To You," which will end the Warrior of Light in the Gold Saucer, free for the player to explore all the attractions the amusement center has to offer. Players who visit the Gold Saucer will want to know the quickest and efficient way to rack up in Manderville Gold Saucer points, or MGP, in order to redeem said points for prizes including the impending return of the Regalia mount from Final Fantasy 15.

Mini Cactpot and Jumbo Cactpot

Upon entering the Gold Saucer, new players can exchange gil for MGP at the Entrance Square up to 500 MGP, which is more than enough to get started on the most consistent way of obtaining a steady amount each day. The Mini Cactpot is a daily scratch-off lottery ticket that gives players three chances to win up to 10,000 for 10 MGP a ticket, by lining up three numbers in hopes of the sum of three numbers equating to a favorable amount.

Ideally, the player will want to scratch a set of "1, 2, and 3" in a row to equal to 6, which is the grand prize. Fortunately, the payout will always be more than the cost of a Mini Cactpot ticket, making this a worthy daily investment. In Cactpot Square, players can go for the larger lottery, the Jumbo Cactpot, where the winning numbers will be read every Saturday at 7 PM PDT. Even if players don't win the million MGP reward, players can win based on how many numbers match the winning numbers.

Fashion Report

Fashion Report can be unlocked via the "Passion for Fashion" quest located at (X:4.8 Y:6.1) by speaking to Lewena and can be accessed through Masked Rose at (X:7.2 Y:7.4). Upon speaking to Masked Rose, he will provide a theme for the player to wear and if the player matches the theme as closely as possible, they can win up to 60k MGP weekly which is more than enough to obtain an elusive hairstyle.

Of the methods used to gain MGP, this is the easiest and quickest, as players in the community have already figured out a cost-efficient way to reach the 60k MGP threshold. The Final Fantasy 14 Reddit community typically shares a weekly thread on Fashion Report, eliminating most of the headache and busy work.

There are other opportunities to gain MGP in the Gold Saucer, involving many of the GATEs the Gold Saucer has to offer. Participating in Chocobo Racing, Mahjong, and Triple Triad are also ways to earn MGP, including selling the excess Triple Triad cards players will obtain via enemy loot. A combination of the weekly Fashion Report, the daily Mini Cactpot, and Jumbo Cactpot should be more than enough for players to obtain a healthy sum of MGP for the upcoming Final Fantasy 15 event as well as whatever items players would wish to redeem with the points.

Final Fantasy 14 is available on PC, PS4, and PS5.
