The story in Final Fantasy 14 is considered one of the best the franchise has to offer. While the road to get there may have been bumpy at first, ever since Heavensward, Final Fantasy 14 has enjoyed the reputation of being famous for its strong narrative and for having a memorable cast of characters. Even Alphinaud, who was once considered to be one of the most annoying characters from A Realm Reborn, became a certified star and fan-favorite.

Many were wondering how Square Enix would close out the Hydaelyn and Zodiark storyline in Final Fantasy 14, if Endwalker would live up to the hype established by Shadowbringers. Almost six months after Old Sharlayan opened its docks to the Warriors of Light, the results speak for themselves. Final Fantasy 14's playerbase doubled during the launch of Endwalker and the community shows no signs of slowing down.

Just as it did for its predecessors, Square Enix commemorated the expansion by releasing a music video of Endwalker's featured song: Flow. From Answers, Dragonsong, Revolutions, and the impeccable Tomorrow and Tomorrow, the songs that played during the end credits of every Final Fantasy 14 expansion left a stirring memory in the hearts of many of its players. Flow is no exception, as it accompanies the dramatic events of Endwalker beautifully throughout the music video.

Flow's melody is tied to Old Sharlayan's theme similarly to how the Crystarium's theme has notes from Tomorrow and Tomorrow. It is sung by Amanda Achen, whose vocals were featured in Shadowbringers' song as well. The music video ends on a beautiful piece of artwork depicting the fallen comrades and companions of the Warrior of Light who gave their lives for the future of Etheirys, now drifting in the aetherial flow.

The music video perfectly captures just how strong of an impression the newly introduced characters from Endwalker made. From Emet and Hythlodaeus, to Venat and Meteion, Endwalker closed out one chapter in the story of the Source and its Thirteen Reflections, and now the time has come to open a new one.

Appropriately titled, Newfound Adventure kicks off a brand-new tale. For once, the Warrior of Light isn't embroiled in any political conspiracies or confronted by a world-ending threat. On a surface level, Endwalker's first major content patch tells the story of a lighthearted treasure hunt in the Bounty – however, not everything is as it seems.

Final Fantasy 14 is available now for PC, PS4, and PS5.
