In Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker, players will be looking for the NPC that will begin the Reaper Job unlock quest chain. The FF14 Reaper Class is a brand new class that is only available with the new expansion, and players will want to start leveling it asap.

The Reaper Job in FF14

Unlike the new Sage Job in Final Fantasy 14, the Reaper class is a DPS class rather than a healer. This class is all about violence and putting up damage numbers. This combat class is connected with creatures from the void and gain their powers from the souls of the dead.

How to Unlock the Reaper Class in FF14

The Reaper quest chain is part of the new story in FF14: Endwalker. In the city of Ul'dah in the Steps of Naid, players can find the NPC that will help them to unlock the Reaper Class. Just as long as players are both level 70 and have purchased Endwalker, they will be allowed to unlock this class at level 70 at any time. The NPC is labeled as Flustered Attendant. Talk to this NPC, and it will start the quest called The Killer Instinct.

This man's master is in deep trouble and is in need of those willing to pick up arms in the Sapphire Avenue Exchange that is just a little bit west of the NPC. In The Sapphire Avenue Exchange, look for someone named Jijilyo to keep the quest chain going. After finding Jijilyo, a cutscene will play where he is confronted by someone called The Reaper, who is trying to get paid for a job that Jijilyo hired her for.

The Reaper, as it turns out, thinks the player has the Killer Instinct needed to become a Reaper too and invites them to visit their headquarters in Pearl Lane. Pearl Lane is to the west. Talk to the Loyal Lemure and he will show players inside the headquarters. Have a chat with the Reaper, named Drusilla, and she'll ask for players to complete a job and give them a job crystal. She gives players the option to either continue as a Reaper or gracefully bow out after catching sight of the void being they will be bound with; say yes to the prompt to gain this FF14 Combat class.

Players have now unlocked the new Final Fantasy 14 class. It will start at level 70, and the level cap for the Reaper Job will be 90.

Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker is available now for PC, PS4, and PS5.
