Final Fantasy 14 Endwalker has added a massive collection of new items for players to grind for. Two of these items, called Timeworn Kumbhiraskin Treasure Maps and Timeworn Almastyskin Treasure Maps, are maps that give players access to hidden loot all over this new Final Fantasy 14 DLC.

How to Get Timeworn Almastyskin Treasure Maps

In order to nab some of these maps, players have to have a Disciple of Land gathering profession leveled to 90. These three FF14 gathering jobs are Miner, Fisher, and Botanist. When gathering ore, fishing, or gathering plants in the new Endwalker zones, there is a chance for players to find a Timeworn Almastyskin Treasure Map or a Timeworn Kumbhiraskin Treasure Map. Players can also hire one of the Land gathering classes or try to purchase one on the market board.

What to Do With Timeworn Almastyskin Treasure Maps

In order to activate these maps, players need to decipher the map with the "Decipher" action; this action has an 18-hour shared cooldown for the Almastyskin and Kumbhiraskin maps. After the Treasure Map is used, head to the coordinates for some treasure and some enemies guarding it. These Endwalker level-90 enemies are fairly easy to kill, so players won't need too much help to earn their treasures so long as they have hit the Endwallker level cap of 90.

How are Timeworn Kumbhiraskin Treasure Maps Different?

The Kumbhiraskin versions of these maps are gathered in the same way with the same level 90 Disciples of Land professions in all the new Endwalker locations in FF14. But they will have much more difficult enemies at the coordinates, and players will most likely need a full party backing them to be able to get their treasures. Thankfully, the treasure is much better for Kumbhiraskin maps.

After the Final Fantasy 14 Endwalker 6.05 update scheduled for early January 2022, these maps will also have a chance to spawn a portal after the enemies are killed and the treasure is collected, giving players access to an additional, special instance called The Excitatron 6000. While the rewards for this instance are not yet listed, players can expect to find some amazing loot for their extra trouble. It is unclear if this chance will be available for Almastyskin maps, but players will be able to get them with the Kumbhiraskin maps.

Final Fantasy 14 Endwalker is available for PC, PS4, and PS5.
