As more players flock to Final Fantasy 14 causing servers to struggle, another Final Fantasy title has recently made a resurgence in terms of fan interest. Final Fantasy 10 has returned to the spotlight thanks in part to the title celebrating a big anniversary. It is because of this renewed interest from fans, that a Redditor's recent find is making an impact.

Redditor Hoosier_Jedi took to the Final Fantasy subreddit to share their discovery while in Japan. Hoosier_Jedi posted an image of a kimono that resembles Yuna's now iconic outfit from Final Fantasy 10. The white and blue contrast alongside the pink accents immediately draw comparisons to Yuna's summoner ensemble. Noticeable missing is the yellow bow that binds the two, but even with that gone it's hard not to notice the similarities.

While Hoosier_Jedi's find is impressive on its own, the post's popularity has been further bolstered by the timing of the discovery. The Reddit post on the Final Fantasy subreddit comes just days after Final Fantasy 10 had its 20th anniversary since releasing on July 19, 2001. The game marked the third time the franchise moved to a new generation of console hardware, being the first to release on the PlayStation 2.

The highest rated comment on the post has also been a big hit with the community, hitting a nostalgia bone for all those who accompanied Yuna and her guardians on the pilgrimage to the ancient city of Zanarkand. The comment by Seperate_Worry_4336 reads "Did the curator tell you to stay away from the summoner?" This is a direct reference to an NPC in Final Fantasy 10 that famously shoos Tidus away after Yuna makes her beloved debut in the game.

While the old woman telling Tidus to keep his distance from Yuna is a famous line from the game, alongside the child who calls Tidus a "bad man," Final Fantasy 10 has many scenes that generate adoration and love from the fanbase. The most famous is undoubtedly Final Fantasy 10's infamous "Laughing Scene" in which Tidus tries to cheer up Yuna through suggesting a hardy laugh. It is just one of many moments that has kept the 2001 release a popular one with the Final Fantasy fanbase and will likely maintain its status as one of the best games in the franchise.

While Final Fantasy 10's return to the spotlight is due to its 20th anniversary since its initial release, there has been further rumblings causing the fanbase to think about the series once again. Final Fantasy 10's writer Motomu Toriyama alongside character designer Tetsuya Nomura, discussed the possibility for the story of Final Fantasy 10 to continue. While there was nothing concrete in the comments, the duo did say that a plot for the nonexistent Final Fantasy 10-3 does exist.

Final Fantasy 10 Remaster is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
