Final Fantasy 10 has some of the most iconic characters in Square Enix's series. Whether it's for their strong personalities or their abilities in combat, they are memorable for fans of the JRPG franchise. One thing that made Final Fantasy 10's group stand out is their unique designs and how they're so different from one another.

It is something that is noticed by other characters in the game how ragtag the group looks overall. Like her father before her, Yuna has a group that doesn't look like they would be the ones to defeat Sin. Here is how the characters rank based on their designs.

7 Kimahri

Aside from being one of the smallest male Ronso, Kimahri doesn't stand out much. Thanks to his blue fur, he doesn't need to dress up to stay warm. His armor is light and lets him be able to move around easily.

This is first seen right before Kimahri's battle with Tidus on Besaid Island, as he is able to maneuver around the ruins with agile ease.

6 Wakka

A blitzball player turned guardian, Wakka certainly looks the part. Wakka looks more ready to play a game of blitzball and swim than protect Yuna on her pilgrimage. His design reflects his blitzball past, but it's a bit ill-fitted for a summoner's guardian.

Wakka's outfit is fitting for most of the areas the party visits like Bikanel or the Calm Lands, but it doesn't seem practical for other areas. It's amazing that he didn't freeze in Macalania. One advantage to Wakka's design is that he's ready for underwater combat and is one of three characters that can do it.

5 Rikku

She might be the bubbly character of the group, but Rikku is ready to help her cousin Yuna finish her pilgrimage. Her design is a little more practical than Wakka's. Rikku's outfit doesn't scream out her Al Bhed heritage, but it's obvious that she's not a regular Spiran. She does have a pair of goggles that hang around her neck, but she doesn't wear them even in underwater combat. If Rikku were to wear them, everyone would know she's an Al Bhed.

Her design isn't as eccentric as other Al Bhed, but Rikku is ready for anything thrown at her. The black pouch around her leg isn't just for decoration, she keeps alchemy supplies and other equipment.

4 Tidus

With his outfit, Tidus stands out among the netizens of Spira. It's pretty obvious that he's proud he's from Zanarkand and part of the Zanarkand Abes blitzball team. He has the Abes' symbol on his right trouser leg, a silver pendant on his necklace, and an earring on his left ear. It's obvious Tidus has pride as the star player on the team.

Tidus's outfit does have some allusions to his father, Jecht, in his design. The right trouser leg is longer and alludes to Jecht's sash that he wore over his right leg. Both men wear metal gauntlets on their left arms and have the Abes' symbols in their designs.

Tidus might not be ready for all kinds of weather, as shown when he is in Baaj Temple, but his design allows him to be able to move fast. Very fitting for him since Tidus is the speedster of the group and needs to be nimble to take out his enemies.

3 Auron

The unsent monk who refused to die to keep his promises to his friends, Auron wears the same outfit he wore during his pilgrimage with Braska and Jecht. It works for him since he is more of samurai and uses a large, heavy katana to take out his enemies. It provides the functionality Auron needs and protects him from the outside elements whether it be hot or cold. His left arm is usually tucked in his haori, but it doesn't mean he's helpless. If anything, it shows that Auron has been through a lot in his life and has fought some hard battles.

Auron's overall design fits his character and shows that he is a figure that the guardians and Yuna look to for advice. The sunglasses also help to add an aura of mystery around him.

2 Lulu

She doesn't look like a traditional black mage that is seen in most Final Fantasy games, but Lulu's design fits her black mage role perfectly. Her design looks more like a witch or a voodoo priestess, especially since she uses dolls to help her cast her spells.

Lulu looks intimidating and her attitude matches her dark attire. Lulu is not able to move fast and needs assistance to get to some places, like when Kimahri carried her when the group crashed Seymour and Yuna's wedding. However, this doesn't mean she's not prepared to do her guardian duty for Yuna.

1 Yuna

One of the most iconic characters in the Final Fantasy series. Yuna is a favorite among cosplayers because of how original and unique her design is. She may not come off as the most intimidating-looking character, but she is one of the most powerful characters in the game. Yuna's design is a stark contrast to Lulu's darker design. The long pleated purple skirt with a flower design and the kimono-like white and pink gradient sleeves add a certain gracefulness to Yuna's movements, something that is shown perfectly when she does a sending.

Even after the release of Final Fantasy 10-2, Yuna's original design continued to be used for any appearances she makes outside of the games. Her design has also been used in other entries such as in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13. Lightning wears Yuna's original clothes for her Spira's Summoner garb.
