Weekly Game Trailer Roundup: February 10th

Fifa Street, Shoot Many Robots, Lollipop Chainsaw, UFC, Army Corps of Hell Trailers

Throughout the week our attention was focused on BioWare thanks to the release of multiple Mass Effect 3 trailers focusing on gameplay aspects from weapon customization, integrated storytelling, and even one that puts female Shepard modes in the spotlight.

With so many major games fighting for attention, there are always a bevy of trailers that don't get their due and so we'll do our best to share them each week in our roundup. This week, the WGTRU (we'll need a more catchy name) will be covering Shoot Many Robots, UFC Undisputed 3, Lollipop Chainsaw, Army Corps of Hell, and FIFA Street.

1. Shoot Many Robots 'Meet the Robots' Trailer

This first trailer, for Shoot Many Robots, focuses on the actual robot threats that protagonist P. Walter Tugnut and friends will encounter as they attempt to rid the world of killer robots being produced by a rogue factory. Each enemy has their own distinct type to ensure that players won't become complacent while shooting the robotic horde.

Shoot Many Robots releases February 2012 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

2. UFC Undisputed 3 'Fighting Strategy' Trailer

Fighting strategy. Whether it's in a real UFC bout or even in a set of Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 or Super Street Fighter IV, it's paramount to develop a strategy going in or while you're in the fight. This latest trailer for UFC Undisputed 3 focuses on the mental aspects of the fighting "game," breaking down pattern recognition and being able to counter on the fly. Truth be told, it's a pretty educational trailer, especially if you have interest in the fight scene or if you play fighting games at all. MMA instructor, Greg Jackson, breaks it down in this trailer. The demo is available now for investigative purposes to see if Jackson's words have any merit.

UFC Undisputed 3 releases February 14, 2012 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

3. Lollipop Chainsaw 'Valentine's Day' Trailer

Valentine's Day is only a few short days away and if the day isn't spent with a significant other, it might be spent with the Mass Effect 3 demo that comes out the same day. In order to celebrate the wonders of romance and commitment, Grasshopper Manufacture has seen fit to release a trailer focusing on how two people in love can find ways to stay together, even in times of great adversity. For example, during a zombie apocalypse that causes a woman to chainsaw her boyfriend's head off his body and tote him around on her waist, this is the madness of Lollipop Chainsaw. One of the finest examples of true romance around.

Lollipop Chainsaw releases April 24, 2012 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

4. FIFA Street 'Game Modes' Trailer

Continuing in the expansion of conventional sports into a more urban motif, the latest EA Sports title, FIFA Street  converts the world's most popular sport into a more arcade-like franchise. What better way to get familiar with what the game has to offer than to showcase the different types of game modes available? Each mode is based on the many different styles of soccer played the world around, including some modes that focus more on the style on which the game is played (it is a Street game, after all), or a mode that doesn't feature a goal keeper at all. Take a look below.

FIFA Street releases March 13, 2012 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

5. Army Corps of Hell 'Multiplayer' Trailer

The upcoming PlayStation Vita strategy game, Army Corps of Hell, features a 4-player cooperative/competitive multiplayer gameplay. Friends, who are nice to have when attempting to reclaim a lost throne in Hell, can also be used as a means to an end. Other players' goblin resources can be stolen to bolster your own army to fell those who stand in the way of glory. It'll be a hell of a ride, get it? Screenshots of the Army Corps of Hell offer what we can best describe as what Pikmin in Hell looks like. Check out the trailer to see Army Corps of Hell's multiplayer component.

Army Corps of Hell releases February 22, 2012 for PlayStation Vita.

That concludes this week's Weekly Game Trailer Roundup. A strange mash up of sports, strategy, brawling, chainsaws, and robots.
