FIFA 22 is available for pre-order and will officially be released on October 1, 2021. It will be available to play on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The release of the game is still a couple of weeks away, but EA has already given its community something to talk about. They have released the highest-rated players in the new game. This has sparked a lot of debates about the ratings, but needless to say, the community members will be excited to try out the game.

To make things easier for the people who want to use them, the list has been updated to include the highest-rated players in FIFA 22.

20 Virgil Van Dijk (89)

Virgil Van Dijk is considered to be the best defender in the world. He played a crucial role in Liverpool's success in two competitions. During the World Cup, Van Dijk was among the better players, but unfortunately, the Netherlands lost to Argentina on penalties.

With a rating of 89, Van Dijk is a must-have in the game. His stats in different categories make him a colossus and extremely difficult to get past. Van Dijk's include 91 defending, 84 physicality, and 78 pace.

With a rating of 89, Kimmich is a solid option to have in the middle of the pitch. His highest stats are— 86 passing, 84 dribbling, and 83 defending.

17 Alisson Becker (89)

15 Karim Benzema (89)

14 Heung Min Son (89)

13 Mohammad Salah (89)

Mohammad Salah's rating has dropped from 90 to 89, which is quite bizarre considering he had another excellent season last year. Despite, the drop in his overall rating, Salah still has great stats. He has 90 pace, 90 dribbling, and 87 shooting.

12 Sadio Mane (89)

After a very slow start to his season, Mane picked up form after the African Cup of Nations as Klopp started to play in the number 9 position. Mane's performances in that position were very impressive, and he rightfully earned a move to Bayern Munich.

Mane has an 89-rated card in FIFA 22. He has 91 pace, 89 dribbling, and 83 shooting, and all these attributes make him a very good player to use in the game.

11 Marc-Andre Ter Stegen (90)

Ter Stegen had a rather disappointing season with Barcelona. The Spanish giants were nowhere near their best, and they were struggling in both domestic and European competitions. Ter Stegen had just 11 cleansheets in the league and made 2 errors, which led to goals for the opposition.

When the next edition of the game comes out, Ter Stegen might lose his 90-rated card, but until then the players can use him in the game as he has high stats that include- 90 reflexes, 88 kicking, and 88 diving.

The 36-year-old retains his previous rating of 90 in FIFA 22. With 91 in kicking, 88 in handling, 89 in positioning, and 88 in reflexes, he remains one of the best goalkeepers in the game

9 Kante (90)

Kante was one of Chelsea's best players in their Champions League-winning campaign. He racked up Man of the Match awards in the semi-finals, which secured Chelsea's passage to the final.

In FIFA 21, Kante was rated 88 and due to his heroics in the last season, EA rewarded him with an increase and his new rating is 90.

In FIFA 22, Harry Kane is rated 90, which is an increase of two points from his previous ranking. Kane will be a very desirable addition for many teams in the game.

7 Kevin De Bruyne (91)

Oblak remains the highest-ranked goalkeeper in the game. He is rated 91, and it will prove to be a menace for your opponents in FIFA. Oblak has three attributes in the 90s— 92 in handling, 90 in reflexes, and 90 in positioning.

5 Neymar (91)

Mbappe's FIFA stats keep on getting better and better each year. His rating has gone up to 91, previously he was rated 90. Mbappe has a staggering pace of 97. He also has 92 in dribbling, 88 in shooting, and 80 in passing. Also, it's worth mentioning that he's the face of FIFA 22.

3 Cristiano Ronaldo (91)

Ronaldo has won the Ballon d'Or 5 times and he will be looking to equal Lionel Messi's record of 6. He transferred to Manchester United in the summer transfer window and he hit form straight away.

Despite another insane season, Ronaldo has lost his position as the 2nd best player in FIFA. His rating has dropped from 92 to 91, however, it is still a very high-rated card. Ronaldo's highest stats are shooting (93), dribbling (88), and pace (87). If he has another amazing season, then there's no doubt, that his rating will spike, and he'll be even more expensive in the game.

2 Robert Lewandowski (92)

Considered by many to be the frontrunner for this year's Ballon d'Or, Robert Lewandowski has been in unstoppable form for his club, Bayern Munich. Lewandowski has scored in his last 19 games for the club, and he has shown no signs of stopping.

Keeping his form in mind, Lewandowski is deserving of the 2nd highest-rated card in FIFA 22. His card is rated 92, and it has some incredible stats— 92 in shooting, 82 in physicality, and 86 in dribbling.

1 Lionel Messi (93)

At the top of the list is the 6-time recipient of the Ballon d'Or award, Lionel Messi. The Argentine had another outstanding season with FC Barcelona. However, due to financial barriers, Messi had to leave the club, and he ended up signing for Paris Saint Germain, the powerhouse of French club football.

Messi has a rating of 93, which is the highest in the game, and it is well deserved after his heroics with Argentina, as he guided them to Copa America success. Messi's highest-rated attributes are passing (91), shooting (92), and dribbling (95).
