A new football season means a new FIFA game that offers an immersive experience. It is that time of the year again when football and gaming fanatics come together and talk about FIFA. FIFA 22 is available for pre-order and will officially be released on October 1, 2021. It will be available to play on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The release of the game is still a couple of weeks away, but EA has already given its community something to talk about. They have released the highest-rated players in the new game. This has sparked a lot of debates about the ratings, but needless to say, the community members will be excited to try out the game.

To make things easier for the people who want to use them, the list has been updated to include the highest-rated players in FIFA 22.
20 Virgil Van Dijk (89)
Virgil Van Dijk is considered to be the best defender in the world. He played a crucial role in Liverpool's success in two competitions. During the World Cup, Van Dijk was among the better players, but unfortunately, the Netherlands lost to Argentina on penalties.
With a rating of 89, Van Dijk is a must-have in the game. His stats in different categories make him a colossus and extremely difficult to get past. Van Dijk's include 91 defending, 84 physicality, and 78 pace.
19 Gianluigi Donnarumma (89)
Considering that he has played hundreds of games already, it is easy to forget that Donnarumma is only 23 years old. Ever since his transfer, Donnarumma has become the main goalkeeper for PSG.
He has also cemented himself as the No. 1 for the Italian National Team. Donnarumma's performance levels have dropped a bit, however, he still has plenty of time to get back to his best. Donnarumma's rating of 89, makes him one of the highest-rated players in FIFA 22.
18 Joshua Kimmich (89)
Joshua Kimmich started as a fullback but has since moved into the midfield and garnered a reputation for being one of the best in his position. Kimmich is known for his precise passing, which helps his team to break down the opposition's defense.
With a rating of 89, Kimmich is a solid option to have in the middle of the pitch. His highest stats are— 86 passing, 84 dribbling, and 83 defending.
17 Alisson Becker (89)
Last season, Alisson Becker had a case for being the best goalkeeper in the world. His heroics helped Liverpool win two pieces of silverware. Alisson has taken his tremendous form into the new season, and he has been unquestionably their best player.
Alisson is also the main goalkeeper for the Brazilian National Team, and it doesn't seem that he will be displaced anytime soon. Considering Alisson's form, a rating of 89 doesn't do him justice.

Thibaut Courtois is the goalkeeper of the current Spanish champions, Real Madrid. In his debut season for the club, Courtois was dubbed a flop and a waste of money. However, he managed to prove all his critics wrong.
Courtois has been given a rating of 89 in FIFA 22, which makes him one of the best goalkeepers in the game. His highest stats include— 89 handling, 88 reflexes, and 86 positioning.
15 Karim Benzema (89)
Karim Benzema had a ridiculous season with his club, Real Madrid. The Frenchman fired his side to La Liga and Champions League glory, and he played a very important role in both victories. Benzema's heroics throughout the season have made him the number-one contender for the Ballon d'Or.

14 Heung Min Son (89)
Son had a historic season with Tottenham Spurs as he became the first Asian player to win the Golden Boot. The South Korean scored a total of 23 goals and not a single one of them was a penalty. After such a scintillating season, Son will undoubtedly look to do even better in the next season.
Son has a high rating of 89, which puts him in an elite group of players. He has great stats, which include 88 pace, 87 shooting, and 86 dribbling.
13 Mohammad Salah (89)
"The Egyptian King" had another impressive season both individually and collectively with his team. Salah scored 23 times in the league and assisted another 13 times, which earned him both the Golden Boot and the Playmaker of the Season award.
Mohammad Salah's rating has dropped from 90 to 89, which is quite bizarre considering he had another excellent season last year. Despite, the drop in his overall rating, Salah still has great stats. He has 90 pace, 90 dribbling, and 87 shooting.

After a very slow start to his season, Mane picked up form after the African Cup of Nations as Klopp started to play in the number 9 position. Mane's performances in that position were very impressive, and he rightfully earned a move to Bayern Munich.
Mane has an 89-rated card in FIFA 22. He has 91 pace, 89 dribbling, and 83 shooting, and all these attributes make him a very good player to use in the game.
11 Marc-Andre Ter Stegen (90)
Ter Stegen had a rather disappointing season with Barcelona. The Spanish giants were nowhere near their best, and they were struggling in both domestic and European competitions. Ter Stegen had just 11 cleansheets in the league and made 2 errors, which led to goals for the opposition.
When the next edition of the game comes out, Ter Stegen might lose his 90-rated card, but until then the players can use him in the game as he has high stats that include- 90 reflexes, 88 kicking, and 88 diving.
10 Manuel Neuer (90)
Manuel Neuer had another great season with Bayern Munich, in which the club won the league title. The club couldn't replicate its success in Europe, but individually, Neuer had another immaculate season, which is why EA decided to stick with their previous rating for him.
The 36-year-old retains his previous rating of 90 in FIFA 22. With 91 in kicking, 88 in handling, 89 in positioning, and 88 in reflexes, he remains one of the best goalkeepers in the game
9 Kante (90)
Kante was one of Chelsea's best players in their Champions League-winning campaign. He racked up Man of the Match awards in the semi-finals, which secured Chelsea's passage to the final.
In FIFA 21, Kante was rated 88 and due to his heroics in the last season, EA rewarded him with an increase and his new rating is 90.
8 Harry Kane (90)
Last season proved to be Harry Kane's best season of his footballing career. He finished on the top of the scoring charts as well as the top in assists in the Premier League. Kane also had a great EURO with England. After a fine individual season, it was obvious that he would get an increase.
In FIFA 22, Harry Kane is rated 90, which is an increase of two points from his previous ranking. Kane will be a very desirable addition for many teams in the game.
7 Kevin De Bruyne (91)
Over the last few seasons, Kevin De Bruyne has been one of the best players in the world. The Manchester City star won the PFA player of the year award last season as he helped the club to another league title.
He can thread a pass through the eye of the needle, and EA has kept that in mind while making his card. He has 93 in passing, 88 in dribbling, and 83 in shooting; he retains his rating of 91.
6 Jan Oblak (91)
Jan Oblak has been an ever-present figure in the goal for Atletico Madrid. The Slovenian international has been one of the most consistent performers in the world. Oblak's unbelievable performances have saved Atletico Madrid time and time again.
Oblak remains the highest-ranked goalkeeper in the game. He is rated 91, and it will prove to be a menace for your opponents in FIFA. Oblak has three attributes in the 90s— 92 in handling, 90 in reflexes, and 90 in positioning.
5 Neymar (91)
Ever since his move from FC Barcelona, Neymar's career has been hindered by injuries. However, these injuries haven't encumbered his skill as a player. Whenever he has been able to play, Neymar has left his mark on the game.
Last year EA gave Neymar a rating of 91, and he retains the same ranking in the new FIFA 22. Neymar has 91 in pace, 94 in dribbling, and 86 in passing, which highlight Neymar's best attributes.
4 Kylian Mbappe (91)
The prodigious talent, Kylian Mbappe continues to impress the footballing world with his abilities. Mbappe was the star player for Paris Saint Germain, but he had a disappointing EURO campaign. However, he has made a fast start to the new season, and he is currently the joint-top scorer in Ligue 1 Uber Eats.
Mbappe's FIFA stats keep on getting better and better each year. His rating has gone up to 91, previously he was rated 90. Mbappe has a staggering pace of 97. He also has 92 in dribbling, 88 in shooting, and 80 in passing. Also, it's worth mentioning that he's the face of FIFA 22.
3 Cristiano Ronaldo (91)
Not many players in the sporting industry can boast the same level of fitness as Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo has won the Ballon d'Or 5 times and he will be looking to equal Lionel Messi's record of 6. He transferred to Manchester United in the summer transfer window and he hit form straight away.
Despite another insane season, Ronaldo has lost his position as the 2nd best player in FIFA. His rating has dropped from 92 to 91, however, it is still a very high-rated card. Ronaldo's highest stats are shooting (93), dribbling (88), and pace (87). If he has another amazing season, then there's no doubt, that his rating will spike, and he'll be even more expensive in the game.
2 Robert Lewandowski (92)
Considered by many to be the frontrunner for this year's Ballon d'Or, Robert Lewandowski has been in unstoppable form for his club, Bayern Munich. Lewandowski has scored in his last 19 games for the club, and he has shown no signs of stopping.
Keeping his form in mind, Lewandowski is deserving of the 2nd highest-rated card in FIFA 22. His card is rated 92, and it has some incredible stats— 92 in shooting, 82 in physicality, and 86 in dribbling.
1 Lionel Messi (93)
At the top of the list is the 6-time recipient of the Ballon d'Or award, Lionel Messi. The Argentine had another outstanding season with FC Barcelona. However, due to financial barriers, Messi had to leave the club, and he ended up signing for Paris Saint Germain, the powerhouse of French club football.
Messi has a rating of 93, which is the highest in the game, and it is well deserved after his heroics with Argentina, as he guided them to Copa America success. Messi's highest-rated attributes are passing (91), shooting (92), and dribbling (95).
