FIFA 21 has a lot in store for its players as EA Sports launches the third season just as 2021 starts. The new season is packed full of new content and exciting additions to existing features like the Storyline cards. Icon Swaps tokens for themes, badges, player-packs, and more have also gotten an update in the latest season. FIFA 21 rewards are unlockable by playing through the game and completing challenges or milestones throughout the third season.

For new players who are interested in buying the game, here’s what players need to know before buying FIFA 21. The Season 3 Storyline cards have impressive new additions with 30 new levels to progress through for the entire season. While the XP necessary to advance through the levels might feel intimidating, players can take advantage of the weekly objectives for extra XP. This season has a rewarding level 15, with new Storyline Players to help you create your Ultimate Team. Storyline Players like Alfred Duncan, Sada Thioub, or Cédric Bakambu are available once players have reached the 15th level, which are untradeable cards.

Before Season 3 ends, players who reach the climax of level 30 get to choose between Storyline Players: Alassane Plea, Christian Pulisic, or Emerson Leite De Souza. These exciting new players provide a lot of interesting new storylines in FIFA 21 Season 3, and are a great addition to Ultimate Team.

Although the climb to the 30th level is daunting, there are other rewards like the Snowman pitch trophy at level 21 that make the journey bearable. With that being said, now would be a great time to learn about how to be a better defender in FIFA 21 so players can climb up the levels with wins.

The first collection of Icon Swaps for 2021 has also arrived, with players having the chance to get notable legends like Thierry Henry, Ronald Koeman, Nemanja Vidic, and more by completing the Icon Swap objectives. Finally, the biggest event almost everyone is waiting for is the Team of the Year (TOTY) to be released by EA Sports. Players will have the opportunity to obtain the TOTY players through rare pack openings, completing certain challenges, and attending FUT events. FIFA 21 continues to dominate the UK physical sales charts, closing out 2020 on a happy note.

Season 3 started on January 1 and lasts until February 12. This gives around six weeks for players to work on completing the challenges.

FIFA 21 is available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, with a Stadia version also in development.
