EA Sports has once again turned to one of their sports franchises in an attempt to predict the outcome of a full season, this time with the MLS regular reason and FIFA 12. Last year, FIFA 11 predicted that the LA Galaxy would have a monster year…and this year appears to be no different.

As would be expected of a team that showed particular dominance during last year's regular season, FIFA 12 has predicted that the LA Galaxy — home to Beckham and FIFA 12 cover athlete Landon Donovan — will win their conference outright, and finish with the best record in the MLS.

However, in the goal scoring category, newly minted designated player Robbie Keane, who actually joined the Galaxy last year, is predicted as the league's leading scorer along with fellow superstars Donovan, Thierry Henry, and Dwayne De Rosario. Each will end up with 10+ goals out of their 34 games played (barring injury).

On the Eastern side of the conference, the New York Red Bulls are projected the outright one seed with a record of 18-9-7, four games back of the Galaxy.

Here are the full (predicted) stats from the 2012 MLS Season:

MLS 2012 FIFA Predictions

EA Sports has had a long string of successes when predicting major sports events, but it seems to be only FIFA where they can pretty accurately predict a full season. Just last month they projected, almost perfectly, that the Giants would beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl — and we all know how that turned out.

Obviously, after winning the MLS Cup for 2011, it would make sense that the Galaxy would be the outright favorite based on stats and whatnot, but we'll see how the actual season plays out when players have to actually perform.

Do you agree with FIFA 12's prediction that the LA Galaxy will have another dominate season? Will they go on to capture a second straight MLS Cup?
