The next Legendary Pokemon event has been leaked via GameStop promotional material. Pokemon trainers with a copy of Pokemon Sun, Moon, or either of their Ultra counterparts should look to February for their next opportunity at a rare Legendary Pokemon acquisition. According to the leaked material, players will have the chance to acquire either Palkia or Dialga, two of the most important Legendary Pokemon in the Pokemon series' lore.

Palkia and Dialga, along with Giratina, form what fans have dubbed the "creation trio" of Legendary Pokemon, each with unreal powers over the very reality of the universe. Palkia reigns over the dimension of Time, Dialga the dimension of Space, and Giratina the Distortion World dimension and the power of Antimatter. The three are said to have been created by the Mythical Pokemon Arceus, "The Original One," itself. And now two of the creation trio can be picked up at a local GameStop.

According to the flier, the Palkia and Dialga event will start on February 2 and run through February 28. While the event has yet to be detailed, if the Palkia/Dialga event is anything like previous GameStop events all players will have to do to get the Legendary Pokemon of their choice is visit a store, turn on their game, and accept the gift.

Before speculation gets out of hand, it's unlikely that this new Legendary Pokemon event implies any new announcements or Sinnoh-related content for future games. Palkia and Dialga are prominently featured in the latest release of the Pokemon trading card game with their own DX cards. GameStop is likely hosting the Legendary Pokemon event as marketing for the new Pokemon card series.

Those hunting for new Pokemon will be happy to pick up these Legendaries no matter the reason for the event. And since there are no other ongoing Pokemon distribution events, fans are likely to be anxious for something new.
