F.E.A.R. 3 is going to be a very scary game. Why do I say this? If you have been following the game, you’ll know the premise for the third game in the series finds Alma, the character who’s making the world all crazy and loopy, is about to give birth and thus affecting the world and its inhabitants on a not so desirable level. This latest trailer shows you the destruction and dessication caused by Alma, as well as give you some gameplay in between the spooky moments.

Previous trailers have shown that you will be once more taking the role of the Point Man (and his brother, Paxton Fettel, in co-op) as they take opposing roles in a world that will be on the verge of being destroyed by the terrifyingly powerful Alma. Story details are still scarce, but regardless, you will be put into a bad situation and have to fix it with the use of guns and psychic powers.

Unfortunately, cowering under your covers while playing the game will have to wait until 2011, as the game has been delayed.

Atmospherically, F.E.A.R. 3 will definitely do a good job of scaring the crap out of you, mixing in intense gunfights with beings you would never want to encounter in your life. I did find the gameplay to be a little lacking, however, and never really had much of a desire to really play the game as much as I did want to know more about the story. An unfortunate consequence.

With the inclusion of being able to play the very powerful Paxton Fettel might just change my mind enough to give the third game a chance. That was one instance of the original F.E.A.R. that I wanted to embody, being able to destroy things with my mind, something I’ve always wanted to do since watching Scanners.

F.E.A.R. 3 will be coming to get you in your nightmares in 2011 on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
