F.E.A.R. 3's release date is still up in the air, but that isn't stopping developer Day 1 Studios or publisher Warner Bros. Interactive from continuing to release trailers for the game. The latest trailer focuses on the game's story of two brothers and the mother they both loved. Kind of.

Recently F.E.A.R. 3's release date was pushed back to March 22nd of this year, with the publishers later announcing that this date was also going to be dropped in favor of a tentative May 2011 launch. With April about to start it's very surprising that an official release date hasn't been committed to yet, and the likelihood that this title will see another delay isn't being lessened.

Thankfully, the long wait will seem a little shorter with a new trailer that teases a good deal of the story from the next installement in this horror FPS franchise.

The story trailer doesn't seem to give very much information about the upcoming sequel, but it does hint at the possibility that unlocking Point Man's earlier memories may be an important theme of the story.

A pregnant Alma makes an appearance as well in the trailer, walking along in typical eerie fashion. Quickly, that image is followed by that of a younger Alma cradling what appears to be an infant in her arms. This may imply that Alma does indeed give birth during the course of the game, but that remains to be confirmed.

Fettel makes a return as the narrator of the trailer, as creepy as ever, with his role in F.E.A.R. 3 being that of a secondary character that accompanying Point Man on his journey. In co-op play, a second player will be able to take control of Fettel and his psychic powers.

For those that haven't seen it yet, another cinematic trailer was also released a couple weeks ago which focuses exclusively on a conversation between deceased Paxton Fettel and Point Man. Not that Point Man talks much.

There's a bit of story in this trailer that may prove important. Fettel seems to be implying that Point Man's guilt over the murder of his brother has been a strong motivating factor for his inaction in the months following the explosion at the Origin facility. It will be exciting to see how the story of these two brothers develops in F.E.A.R. 3 as Alma is nearing the birth of her next child.

Does this story trailer get you excited for the release of F.E.A.R. 3, or do you feel like evil girls with crazy psychic powers are so last decade?

F.E.A.R. 3 is still tentatively scheduled for a May 2011 release for the PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and OnLive. Fans who've always wanted a naked pregnant Alma statue with glow in the dark fetus - we wish we were joking - can get it with the F.E.A.R. 3 Collector's Edition of the game.
