The rapper stepped down from the position last March amid the organization's reported financial troubles.RELATED: Asmongold Says He's Been Suffering from Anxiety, Went to Emergency RoomThe organization's latest celebrity signing was 26-year-old actress Grace Van Dien, also known as bluefille on Twitch. Many know her as Chrissy Cunningham in Stranger Things season four, and she is expected to make another appearance in the show's final season. In the announcement video posted on FaZe's Twitter account, Van Dien recounted when she started streaming on Twitch to only 20 to 40 viewers, but still managed to enjoy spending time with the people who were watching her play games like Valorant and Among Us. She also credited her dad, Starship Troopers star Casper Van Dien, for her love for gaming.

When asked what she would bring to FaZe Clan, Van Dien joked "estrogen," noting that it was important to have more female representation in a male-dominated industry like gaming. She added that she wanted to do something that mattered, and FaZe seemed to be giving her the opportunity to bring more representation to the gaming and streaming space. It's also worth noting that Van Dien will only be the second female streamer, along with Call of Duty streamer Kalei Renay, in FaZe's content creation roster.

There have been several mixed reactions about Van Dien's signing online. Many of her Twitch followers and viewers sent their congratulations and well wishes in chat. Over on Twitter, however, netizens used the announcement as a chance to criticize FaZe Clan's management following Nordan "FaZe Rain" Shat's recent allegations. He claimed that the organization didn't pay its original creators fairly, while allegedly shelling out millions to pay its high-profile creators.

While it's unclear whether FaZe Clan announced Van Dien's signing as a cover-up for FaZe Rain's allegations, many people following the issue, and the company's other controversies like the possible Nasdaq delisting, seemed to be convinced that this was the case. Nonetheless, the Stranger Things star seemed to be happy and grateful for the opportunity, especially since this was her first gaming-related signing.
