It's been a quiet week for Fate/Grand Order players after the recent chain of non-stop events began in September. However, this year's Halloween event which was previously announced to come out in mid-October is finally here. From October 19th to November 1st, players can participate in "The Land of Mystique, Oniland! The Great Oni and the Kamuy's Gold" event.
While the past 3 Halloween events took place at a fictional Castle Csjethe, Halloween 4 breaks the trend in favor of a new story. Oniland is a magical amusement park filled with amazing rides, all kinds of food, and plenty of happy servants. But a singularity still needs to be fixed, and players must get to the bottom of this mystery while farming quests or raid battles in the Halloween 2020 event. Note that completing Lostbelt 2 is required to access Oniland.
Shuten-Douji (Caster)
Soon after starting the event story, Shuten-Douji will temporarily join the player's roster. This magical girl version of the legendary oni is a 4-Star Caster-class servant with a hard-hitting single target Buster NP. Shuten also has skills that can NP seal an enemy, buff her party's attack, and increase the effectiveness of her Buster and Arts cards while giving critical star absorption. As the event welfare, Shuten will become permanent after finishing all the main quests and can be raised to Level 80 with NP5 by fully clearing Oniland.
Magifender Points
Like the recent Summer 3 event, Oniland features another point system but this one goes up to 2 million. Magifender points will drop from all free quests and hitting certain goals will give players rewards. While QP, ascension materials, and summon tickets are some of the more common items, there are other rare prizes including event Craft Essences and Shuten-Douji's 'Magifender Wand' ascension item.

Main Quest Progression
While many Fate/Grand Order events have some time-gating, Oniland is notorious for locking most of the story after the first 2 chapters behind daily releases. Naturally, this means the best free quests to farm points and ascension materials won't be available until a certain point of the event. Players should also be aware that a server-wide raid begins on October 24th.
Main Quest - Unlock Date and Time
- Chapter 1 and 2 - October 19th, 1:00 PDT
- Chapter 3 - October 19th, 8:30 PDT
- Chapter 4 - October 20th, 8:30 PDT
- Chapter 5 - October 21st, 8:30 PDT
- Chapter 6 - October 22nd, 8:30 PDT
- Chapter 7 - October 23rd, 8:30 PDT
- Chapter 8-11 and Epilogue - October 24th, 8:30 PDT
Event Shop
Players that want to fully clear the Oniland event shop must gather 3500 Mallet Sundae, 3200 Kanabou Churro, and 3800 Skull Corn currency drops from free quests and raid battles. However, there are some items players should prioritize like the other 2 copies of each event CE.
- 2x Three Anglers - 150 Mallet Sundae, 150 Skull Corn
- 2x Royal Icing - 150 Kanabou Churro, 150 Skull Corn
- 2x Frost Fighting Beat - 150 Mallet Sundae, 150 Kanabou Churro
Note that additional copies of Shuten-Douji can also be purchased to raise her NP level after completing the main story.

While farming 2 million Magifender points may seem like a daunting task, using servants related to Oniland's story will give a bonus to all point drops.

+20%: Shuten-Douji, Leonardo da Vinci, Ibaraki-Douji, Ibaraki-Douji (Lancer), Mochizuki Chiyome (Assassin of Paraiso), Mash Kyrielight
+10%: Abigail Williams, Illyasviel von Einzbern, Jack the Ripper, Chacha, Chloe von Einzbern, Frankenstein, Frankenstein (Saber), Jeanne d'Arc Alter (Santa) (Lily), Medea (Lily), Medusa (Lancer), Nursery Rhyme, Stheno, Wu Zetian (Assassin of the Nightless City), Alexander, Billy the Kid, Euryale, Gilgamesh (Child), Hans Christian Andersen, Paul Bunyan
Additionally, Shuten-Douji (Caster) will also receive a 50-percent NP charge at the start of any main quest or raid battles.
Event Craft Essences
The 3 event CEs obtained from the shop and point ladder will give a bonus to Magifender points and increase one card type's damage dealt by the equipped servant during Oniland quests. Note that the damage bonus scales from 100-percent to 500-percent depending on how many points the player currently has.
- Three Anglers, increase Quick damage and boost Magifender point drops by 30% (60% if MLB)
- Royal Icing, increase Arts damage and boost Magifender point drops by 30% (60% if MLB)
- Frost Fighting Bear, increase Buster damage and boost Magifender point drops by 30% (60% if MLB)
Furthermore, 3 CEs can be summoned from Sitonai's gacha banner which increase currency drops.

- Simply Crimson, +1 (+2 if MLB) to Kanabou Churro drops
- Ashigara Brothers, +1 (+2 if MLB) to Skull Corn drops
Best Places to Farm
Players should save most of their farming until these specific free quests unlock in the second half of Oniland's main story especially if they want specific ascension materials.
- Food Court (1 Berserker and Saber enemies): Skull Corn, Giant's Ring, Refined Magatama
- Mirror House (Archer enemies): Kanabou Churro, Mysterious Divine Wine, Evil Bone
- Ferris Wheel (1 Foreigner, Berserker, and Caster enemies): Mallet Sundae, Heart of the Foreign God, Proof of Hero
- Shaft Ruins (Berserker and Assassin enemies): Magifender Points, Claw of Chaos, Octuplet Crystals
Raid Battles
Once Chapter 8 is unlocked, players must defeat a raid boss 14 million times across the entire server to access the final chapters and epilogue. The enemy is Berserker-class with 800,000 HP, 1.2 million HP, or 2.5 million HP depending on the difficulty. Players who want to farm all 3 Oniland currencies and Magifender points at once should do as many raid battles as possible. Even if some individuals already finished farming, the boss can drop more recent ascension materials like Mystic Gunpowder and Aurora Steel needed by Lostbelt servants. Based off previous server history, the raid should stay up for 1-2 days which is enough time to knock out a good portion of the grind.
