Far Cry 6 has been out for nearly three weeks and many players have been actively enjoying everything the game has to offer. From the lush, vibrant open world to the memorable characters, Far Cry 6 has a massive amount of content for players to experience. Now, it seems Ubisoft will be releasing an important patch that will address a number of bugs the game possesses.

In recent years especially, minor bugs and glitches have been prevalent throughout most AAA games and Far Cry 6 is no exception to this. Considering that Far Cry 6 received a day one patch, as well as the ambitious nature of the game's open world, it makes sense for a few technical issues to slip through the cracks. Fortunately, Ubisoft will be addressing a number of these issues quite soon.

Over on Twitter, the official Twitter account for Far Cry 6 announced that the game will be undergoing maintenance that will provide patches for every platform that the game runs on. The patch provides general bug fixes. The tweet also includes when developers will be conducting maintenance, as well as how big the patch size will be on each system. Hopefully, this patch will make Far Cry 6 players happy.

It's amazing how frequent content updates for AAA games have become such a commonality within the last ten years. Then again, with how rigid some development schedules are in terms of meeting deadlines, it can cause a lot of bugs and glitches. Many in the gaming community have likely forgotten how buggy Assassin's Creed Unity was during its launch, but it later received patches that improved the game greatly.

In any case, it's amazing to see how much success Far Cry 6 has achieved over such a short timeframe. While Far Cry 6 does nothing to deviate from Ubisoft's established open world formula, it has still managed to deliver a satisfying experience for many who have played it so far. Though, for many Far Cry fans, one lingering question still remains.

Back in June, it was announced that Far Cry 6 would be receiving DLC that will allow players to play as the villains from previous Far Cry games. Far Cry's various antagonists have been highlighted as some of the most memorable figures in the series, so to be given the chance to play as them is quite exciting. However, the release of each DLC campaign is still a long way off.

Far Cry 6 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
