The next entry in Ubisoft’s popular open-world shooter series has been generating hype ever since its announcement, with a lot of excitement surrounding the fact that Giancarlo Esposito will be playing the role of the main antagonist. Far Cry 6 also received a new story trailer at Gamescom’s Opening Night Live event, as a part of the final marketing campaign for the game.

The PC features trailer opens by promising that for Ubisoft wants to deliver the best possible gameplay experience for high-end PCs. Similar to other recent Ubisoft games on PC, Far Cry 6 will launch with a built-in benchmark tool for players to test their settings. Both Ray Traced Reflections as well as Shadows were confirmed to be a part of the game, and AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution technology was also announced as a graphical feature. Later, the video gives a small glimpse at the options menu, that shows the impact of the currently selected graphical setting on the image quality.

In more exciting news, the game will support an aspect ratio of up to 32:9 as well as a multi-monitor setup. Far Cry 6 will also launch with multiple accessibility options, such as colorblind mode and text-to-speech for all supported languages. As the final announcement, Ubisoft confirmed that Photo Mode will be available, which looks pretty in-depth judging from the video.

Those that are lucky enough to currently possess a high-end gaming PC will be able to take advantage of all of the graphical features present in Far Cry 6. But Ubisoft has also promised an enjoyable experience for the entire PC audience, and players will have to wait for dedicated benchmarks in order to get a better idea of how the game runs on lower-end PC hardware. Regardless, everyone should be able to use all of the accessibility and customization options detailed in the video above.

The system requirements for Far Cry 6 show that the game requires a relatively high-end machine, with the Ultra setting being way too demanding for most PC players. Most of the interested consumers are finding it extremely difficult to purchase the new powerful GPUs, primarily due to the ongoing chip shortage that is affecting tech industries all around the world.

Far Cry 6 releases on October 7 for Luna, PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
