Far Cry 6 has released two major Villains DLCs so far, that being of Vaas and Pagan Min. Joseph Seed’s DLC, titled Collapse, is set to release in March of this year. Overall, Far Cry 6’s gameplay approach doesn’t deviate between DLCs, nor does the overall structure. This, if not as effective with Pagan Min as it was with Vaas’ DLC, creates a ton of parallels between each DLC. The most interesting is that each DLC has a secret ending.

Achieved by beating the DLC on the highest mind level, each secret ending in Far Cry 6’s DLC run has major implications for the overall universe. It seems to be building up though, and Joseph Seed’s DLC could potentially end the run with a huge revelation. SPOILERS AHEAD FOR FAR CRY 6’s BASE GAME, VAAS DLC, AND PAGAN MIN DLC AHEAD.

Far Cry 6’s Joseph Seed DLC May End The Season Pass With a Bang

In the base game, Vaas’ voice is heard at the very end. The implications here are unclear, as it doesn’t really add up on Far Cry 6’s timeline that Vaas would be alive here—at least, there are no direct explanations. That’s until the Vaas DLC swings in, confirming he survives his encounter with Jason Brody. It’s a nice little milestone for fans, but Pagan Min’s DLC then takes the ball and runs with it.

Even if Vaas’ story is more contained, it draws a connection between Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 6, with Vaas seemingly returning to a life of smuggling after this encounter. What Pagan Min does, though, is draw a direct connection between FC4 and FC5. Pagan Min reveals there’s a nuclear missile underneath the palace, which is aimed at Far Cry 5's fictional Hope County, Montana in the United States, forever connecting the two games.

From the revelation of a still-living character to nuclear capabilities, Joseph Seed’s DLC is inheriting an already-big, connecting history of secret endings. Based on this, not only does it make sense that the Joseph Seed: Collapse secret ending would need to escalate and draw some big connection between entries in the franchise, but it would also need to tie in Joseph Seed’s actions and that of the Collapse into the world at large somehow.

Right now, there’s no telling what that might be, but it’s unlikely that Seed’s DLC steps back and underplays its secret ending—especially if these reveals are establishing a more unified universe for Far Cry 7.
