Far Cry 6 players can use this guide to learn how long it'll take to get to the end of the story.

In the absence of an Assassin’s Creed title, Far Cry 6 is arguably Ubisoft’s biggest game of 2021 next to Riders Republic. It tasks the players with taking part in another revolutionary setting fighting as a one-person army to back the country of Yara. This time it’s through the eyes of Dani, a male or female character of their choosing. The fictional island of Yara has a lot in common with Cuba in terms of its setting, colors, and of course a dictatorship.

As with its predecessors, Far Cry 6 is a massive open-world game that requires a lot of the player's time. There is a lot of freedom to go anywhere and tackle missions and activities as one sees fit. It’s a huge game with lots of variety but how long does it take to complete?

Being an open-world game that provides the player with a lot of freedom, how long it takes to finish Far Cry 6 is relative to the playing style. Some players like to try and breeze through the main campaign while others prefer to wander off the beaten path and take down enemy outposts rescue civilians or seek rare and exotic Far Cry creatures.

It is possible to speed run through Far Cry 6’s main campaign in around 13 hours with the game on its easiest setting and skipping the game’s cutscenes. For players that want to spend more time with some of the side content that should take around 25 to 30 hours. Naturally, bumping up the difficultly will extend the game’s length and the enemies are more alert and better armed. This means that players will need to take more time in upgrading their version of Dani.

Taking the time to complete everything from the Los Bandidos Operations and FND Checkpoints to fishing and seeking out rare animals will take significantly longer. Trying to do everything could take up to 60 hours to complete everything and this includes uncovering the entire map, unlocking all the Achievements or Trophies, and more.

This doesn’t factor in any of the additional and upcoming downloadable content that will make its way on to Far Cry 6 at a later date. Season Pass owners will be able to access the remastered Far Cry: Blood Dragon and related items to use in-game. Ultimate Edition owners will gain access to the Vice Pack, the Croc Hunter Pack, and the Jungle Expedition Pack.
