As players continue to liberate Checkpoints and FND Bases in Far Cry 6, they'll soon be looking for quicker ways to travel. The solution to this problem is unlocking the wingsuit. Returning from previous Far Cry games, the wingsuit allows players to Air Drop or glide a short distance.

Far Cry 6's wingsuit grants the liberty of flying as long as there aren't any Anti-Air Canons nearby. Fortunately, it's fairly easy to unlock and can be obtained following the first few Operations.

Unlocking the Wingsuit

The wingsuit only becomes available when Dani's unlocked their first Guerrilla Camp.

Players must complete the Operations on Isla Santuario and, assuming Dani did not take the boat Clara promised them, the player will then need to find Clara to start the next set of Operations. They will be asked to recruit the three factions in Yara's regions: Madrugada, Valle de Oro, and El Este.

Complete "Meet the Monteros," "Meet Maximas Matanzas," or "Meet the Legends" to unlock Guerrilla Camps. Story-wise, it doesn't matter which region Dani goes to first, but Far Cry 6 pushes for Madrugada/"Meet the Monteros."

Once they have access to a Guerrilla Camp, players should look for the Construction Desk. This is indicated by a symbol of a green diamond with a hammer on the minimap/screen. Speak to the person manning the stand and Dani will have access to Camp Facilities.

Since there are a total of three Guerrilla Camps, players can build two facilities per Camp. These facilities can't be repeated either, meaning if the Hideout Network is placed in Camp Montero, it can't be placed in Camp Matanzas.

To get the wingsuit, build the Hideout Network. This will cost 30 Metal and 30 Gasolina, which the player can pick up pretty much anywhere around Yara. In addition to the wingsuit, the Hideout Network opens up various Fast Travel locations.

Using the Wingsuit

With this, players will be able to Air Drop into certain locations. This can be done at liberated FND bases or Checkpoints, or Guerrilla Hideouts. Hover over the blue icons on the world map and select Air Drop instead of Fast Travel.

Once Dani is airborne, press down on L3 (Xbox/Playstation) or Shift (PC) to use the wingsuit. Push/Click forward to "ascend" and Down to descend. Remember that Dani can't reach the same heights as flying vehicles (Air Drop aside), and the wingsuit is more of a "slow/steady glide" than "flying." It's also important to jump off high cliffs or buildings and trigger the wingsuit immediately less Dani plummets to the ground.

Use the parachute before Dani hits the ground to avoid dying. Some areas will not allow Air Drop until nearby Air-Canons can be cleared. It's also not wise to try and use the wingsuit to get into Esperanza.

Far Cry 6 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
