An important mechanic in Far Cry 6 is the Los Bandidos Operations. These special missions require Leaders with special skills and experience to get the job done. The Los Bandidos missions are unlocked via the Camp Facilities at the main Guerilla camps found around Yara. Getting more leaders in Far Cry 6 will mean more rewards and resources for Dani.

The Bandidos Missions can be initiated at the three main camps:

  • Madrugada
  • Velle de Oro
  • El Este

Updated December 6, 2021, by Michael Llewellyn: There are lots of side quests and activities all over the island of Yara. The Los Bandidos side missions combine elements of strategy and management that don't function like anything else in the game. Selecting the right Leader for the job will mean that Dani loses fewer guerrillas in these raiding missions and reap the rewards after the mission. As a result, it's worth trying to find and recruit all eight of Far Cry 6's Los Bandidos leaders and get them working for Dani. These are interesting side characters all have backstories, as well as personal missions that need to be completed to obtain them.

Unlocking all eight of the Bandidos Leaders can net the player a lot of useful rewards such as armor, weapons, and cash. This is an excellent way to collect non-unique and unique weapons to complete Dani's inventory.

The Bandidos Leaders Backstories

The Bandidos each have their backstories that contribute to the lore and reasons for wanting to take down the tyrannical ruler Castillo. In addition, the leader's useful advantages can be used in the Los Bandidos missions. The Far Cry 6 in-game descriptions for each leader are as follows:

Benito "The Pirate"

"A lifelong fisherman on his home isle Santuario, Benito helped launch Libertad's first attack to free his island home. Despite that failure, and after Dani helped rid the island of Comandante Rosario, Benito has returned to Libertad. He leads a team of offshore guerrilla operatives fighting for Yara's freedom using his vast network of fishing boats."

Isabela "The Defector"

"Isabela scrubbed out of basic training in Castillo's army after she decided to defect alongside her squadmate and lover, Marisol. Anger is a replacement for combat ability — along with her passion, Isabela also speaks the language of revolution and carries the Libertad message of freedom on any Bandido Operation she leads."

Marisol "The Medic"

"Marisol owes Libertad a massive debt after Dani Rojas saved her from a horrific death at the hands of her former comrades. A defector lacking in combat skills but well versed in field medicine, she knows that she has to give all to the cause – for the sake of her lover Isabela, the fellow guerrillas she leads into battle."

Sergio "The Chameleon"

"This man, alias Sergio, has a sterling reputation as La Moral's key spy. His knack for disappearing means it's unlikely he'll make it into the history books, but if his work means a free Yara prospers, then that's just fine by him."

Big Papi "The Smuggler"

"A close friend and confidant of Juan Cortez, whose reputation as a legendary guerrilla might be questionable but whose border-hopping contraband skills certainly aren’t. If you need it fast and under the radar, Big Papi is your hombre."

Freddy Jr. “The Phenom”

"An up-and-coming superstar slugger with strong ties to family and tradition who can shave a man’s cheek with a baseball at two hundred yards. His dreams of making it big in the Yanqui leagues are on pause while he lends his particular talents to Libertad."

Zenia Zayas “The Artist”

"As Yara's premier artist and graffiti guru Zenia is no stranger to urban agitation and to finding creative ways to use whatever is at hand to form powerful messages. Her father was a successful propaganda artist for the former regime, so she has plenty of reason to want to stick it to the new one."

Alfredo "The Bouncer"

"Alfredo loves being part of a cause almost as much as he loves himself. Having abandoned his reluctance to engage in real combat, he now proudly lends his passion (and his muscles) to Libertad."

Far Cry 6 is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
