Of the many AAA games releasing later this year, Far Cry 6 is one that many in the gaming community have had their eye on for a while now. Sporting a lush, vibrant open world, updated gameplay mechanics, and with Giancarlo Esposito cast as the lead villain, there's a lot for fans to be excited for in terms of Far Cry 6. Though, Ubisoft has since given fans a much clearer idea of what to expect from the upcoming game.

With the release of the game just one month away, a lot has been shown off in terms of Far Cry 6. Despite the game originally intending to release in 2020, with Ubisoft delaying Far Cry 6 until 2021, excitement for the game does not appear to have dwindled. Now, thanks to a recent game overview trailer, players will know exactly what they are getting into with Far Cry 6.

Earlier today, Ubisoft posted an overview for Far Cry 6 that gives viewers a generalized look at what to expect when playing the game. While the trailer doesn't get too specific, it does detail several different military factions and mission types that Dani Rojas will encounter during active gameplay. The trailer also showed off co-op features and how players can switch seamlessly between the two without worry of lost progress.

The Far Cry 6 gameplay trailer released back in May showcased numerous gameplay aspects, but this overview trailer focuses a lot more on the world of Far Cry 6 and the various things that players can do and see within the game. For instance, players can upgrade camps to include weapon supply depots, vehicle management, and other resources that players will need while playing the game.

If this new trailer, along with various other pieces of promotional material, are to indicate anything, it's that Far Cry 6 seems to be moving in new and exciting directions. The playable character, Dani Rojas, seems to be much more involved than prior Far Cry protagonists, like Ajay Ghale from Far Cry 4 or Far Cry 5's nameless protagonist. Though, there are still some lingering questions that have yet to be answered.

Following the announcement of the DLC for Far Cry 6 that includes campaigns featuring playable versions of past Far Cry antagonists Vaas Montenegro, Pagan Min, and Joseph Seed, many questions were raised. It's obvious that players will be able to see these beloved characters in a brand new light, but outside of the announcement trailer, there's not much else to indicate what the Season Pass content will look like.

Far Cry 6 launches October 7 on Amazon Luna, PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
